There should be a way to override the door lock, maybe by shooting it or something.
Support. This would add an entirely new aspect to close-quarters-combat gameplay.
I agree. Also, the size of the explosion should depend on the amount and type of ammunition stored. For example, a self-propelled artillery piece should cause a huge explosion if destroyed, like in BF3, when a BM-21 Grad was taken out.
I also propose a physical item, an actual detonator, that shows up in the inventory, an can be held and used, similarly to a firearm.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. It's disappointing that you have to sacrifice one for the other. Why not have both? Up-voted!
Bryan, he's referring to traditional laser sights, like red laser dots. In that case, I support his request.
Upvoted. I want to be able to recreate battles like the Second Battle of Fallujah, severe CQB!
Good find. In racing games, you can hear raindrops tattering on your windshield.
I think this is actually a feature, not a bug/glitch. The beeping is coming from some sort of medical tool/scanner that the medic is using. Makes sense, since this is 2035, after all.
Personally, I like it, as it lets you know that you are healing and that the healing is working.
I voted this up. Doors should open when embarking, disembarking, and they should be allowed to be opened at will.
There was a mod for ARMA 2, that added Humvees with openable doors. You could take cover behind them, and they were awesome. I think you had to open the door before getting out in that mod as well.
To fix this, pretty much all you'd have to do is trim the audio file to remove "WILCO", and update the subtitles to remove "WILCO".
You wouldn't even have to record new dialogue.
Agreed. This could be solved by a "landing" animation, that shows the character landing.
Voted. It's 2015, folks.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't this realistic? In any case, please upload a video, so we can see exactly what is occurring. Thanks!
Two ways to fix this:
1.) Enlarge the dust/smoke effects that occur when a building collapses (and have them stay around longer as well).
2.) Have actual dynamic building destruction, based on a physics-engine.
Voted-up. Would be cool to have. Just imagine fast-roping soldiers onto a roof.
I agree. I have a Razer Tiamat 7.1 and have similar issues. ARMA's sound options seem to be very plain, and lacking.
Many other games have very detailed sound options that are very modular.
I think it's the lighting and shading that is causing the problem, not the textures.
It should be able to bounce off some of the time; tempered glass is very strong these days.
Nonetheless, I have voted up, as it should be able to go through glass if thrown hard enough.
I noticed this as well. No RTT mirrors when outside, or in 3rd person.
Agreed. I am using a 7.1 surround sound headset and sound placement is all over the place.
Voted up. "Crysis" (2007), had this, in which if you switched the firing mode, it will show the character actually doing it.
Agreed, upvoted!
I agree. The clouds look simply amazing, but the rain effects are pretty much the same from ARMA 1/OFP.
When it's raining in ARMA, it doesn't really feel like it's raining at all. I hope they improve this.
Agreed. Invincible doors are kind of annoying. Voted up! :-)
Agreed. Body armor should be improved.
Seconded. Even older games have this feature, such as "SWAT 3" (1999).
Many NVGs are designed to be used with optics, and by 2035, it'll probably be even more so.
This seems to be a long-standing issue. It was present in ArmA 2, where "vaulting" allowed you to pass through solid objects. Would be nice to see fixed.
Also, inventory should be accessible in swimming mode, so you can quickly shed off gear. Soldiers do this in real-life with body armor when swimming.
This is realistic, depending on the suppressor model used.
However, a simple fix would be to use a suppressor model that has built-in ironsights.
Agreed. For example, GTA IV had one of the best tyre destruction simulation ever.
Exactly. Throw a frag grenade into the ocean. When it hits the surface of the water, there is no splashing particle effect.
Don't they already work during the day? Anyway, if they don't, then they should.
Would be nice to hear background noise on the radio, seconded.
RogerX, maybe it's because of all that medical equipment they carry. :-)
The speed is fine. If anything, I think the stamina should be decreased a little bit. It seems these guys are Olympic track stars; they run too far and too long before tiring out.
This would be amazing to have. Up-voted.
Agreed. Slow it down a bit, just a tiny bit. Add a bit of pause between grenade throws.
Dismemberment and gore is a must. "This is War", after all. A warfare simulator should have dismemberment and gore at the very minimum. Up-voted.
I support dismemberment in-game. However, I don't think hand grenades cause dismemberment. They are mainly fragmentation, aka shrapnel.
Also, try increasing the PiP quality in the game options.
Good idea. I constantly find myself pressing vault while sprinting, thinking its going to do a running vault, only to find my guy stop, and then vault. In a battle situation, that can be deadly.
Support. Also present in ARMA 1 and ARMA 2.
Agreed. Grenade launcher should be a separate attachment.
Confirmed, please fix this. Thanks!
I've had the same problem. Whenever you try to jog and shoot, your character shoots, stops, shoots, stops, and then shoots again.
I suggest that they either disable it completely, or allow the player to shoot and jog at the same time.
I agree as well. That's a GPS is for, after all. Up-voted.
Oh, great idea! Upvoted!
I think the med-kits are only supposed to heal you partly.
To be fully healed, you'd need a medic/corpsman.
"Splinter Cell" games had this feature. You could switch from left to right on the fly with the push of a button. I loved it and would like it in ARMA as well.
I've had the same problem. Wearing stereo headset.
If PiP is too hard or hardware intensive, the least they could do is zoom in the entire screen, but just blur the outside areas that aren't scoped, kind of like what "Hitman: Absolution" does.
I agree. 2D scope overlays are outdated. Up-voted!
I support this request wholeheartedly.
Absolutely, 3D editor, please!
Would love this in ARMA 3, it was done in ARMA 2 with mods.
I support this request! Would be great to have a technical loaded up with guerilla fighters, blazing away with their AKs.
Up-voted. Note that this effects the way the lightning/stars work in game. Such as position of the sun on certain days of the month, etc.
Up-voted.
Confirmed, throwing a smoke grenade into a room causes the smoke to go through walls. It is not contained inside the room. Please fix this. :-)
Grass draw distance slider in game options would be nice.
Confirmed here (Beta), please fix this. Thanks!
I agree. After firing the launcher, changing weapons should automatically drop it. All it would take are a few scripts and lines of codes.
Also, damage model needs to be more detailed, making it possible to break off pieces of the aircraft. Stress simulation on airframe would be nice as well.
Some of the maneuvers you can do in ARMA would bring down the aircraft in real-life.
Up-voted.
Up-voted.
Agreed. Up-voted.
Up-voted. Sidearms are way too underpowered.
Demon's right here, though he was a little bit abrasive in his methodology. This is a game-breaking bug that should be fixed, or have been fixed by now.
Yes, absolutely! It's available in VBS2, should be in ARMA 3.
The inability to change weapons on the move is causing a lot of weird animation-related bugs when attempting to do so (involuntary stance changes, unwanted movement, etc.).
Also, the new Beta shoothouse challenges absolutely need this feature, as they require the player to switch weapons. Since switching weapons on the move is not available, the player stops for several seconds when switching weapons. This eats away valuable time in competition modes, where every second counts, literally.
I support this. Switching to your sidearm while on the move is an essential part of close quarters combat.
Agreed, upvoted.
Agreed, up-voted. More blood please, this is war, after all.
Could this have something do with frame rate? Animations look very buggy on lower FPS.
Absolutely agree. Up-voted.
Maybe Bohemia Interactive can contact the DayZ development team and ask for permission to borrow their female faces?: http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18eyvipx5hghbjpg/k-bigpic.jpg
They look very nice and would be perfect for BLUFOR females.
At the very least, give us female civvies that can carry firearms.
I support this request.
It would be nice to have female soldiers in the game, as the game takes place in the future, and probably more females would be in battle then, following ongoing trends. I personally don't see any reason not to include them, other than time constraints on the part of the developers.
Better ragdolls are called for, indeed. I propose a half-MoCap animation, half-ragdoll system. Also, allow ragdolls to be moved after death.
For example, if you fall from the sky and hit the water, your arms will be stretched out like jelly.
Pretty cool. I remember this from SC:CT.
I agree. You think by 2035, they'd have some kind of ESC for cars, especially for the armed forces.
An animation should also play of the player's fingers operating the firing selector, see the first "Crysis" game (from 2007) as a perfect example of this.
Agreed. It was understandable in previous games why they didn't do it, but in ARMA 3, it should be in it.
Kind of off-putting when you're blazing away on full-auto and see that your firing selector is on "SAFE" or "SEMI".
Raven Shield did the ladders perfectly, the animations are spot on and climbing off of them is done fairly quickly.
Agreed. They are way too fast.
Up-voted. ARMA 2 had proper sound speed simulation, so this should too.
Up-voted. Makes no sense for the soldier to take the extra time to place his carbine on his back, when he can just save time by dropping it and letting it hang off in front of him.
Also effects the player, as well as the A.I.
In ARMA 3's prone position, try to throw a grenade. It is not instantaneous and takes some time. Just perfect amount of time, I'd say.
Also, grenades should be an equipable weapon, like a carbine or sidearm. "America's Army" did this quite well.
Female soldiers would be nice, indeed.
Should be fixed for skid choppers.
Good idea. I constantly find myself pressing vault while sprinting, thinking its going to do a running vault, only to find my guy stop, and then vault. In a battle situation, that can be deadly.
Confirmed, please fix.
Confirmed.
