Place any unit with a sidearm (such as Rifleman) in the editor, then paste: "this addHandgunItem "muzzle_snds_L"" into the init field, without the outermost quotation marks. Launch the game, switch to the sidearm and look down the sights.

Additional Information

Iron sights being obstructed by silencers have been a common issue for many weapon designers. In previous Arma games where there was only one model, the silencer properly had measures to prevent such obstructions, as is in real life. In Arma 2, for example, the Makarov's silenced version possessed raised rear sights and a silencer with its own front sight. The silenced Berretta M9 similarly had iron sights on the silencer itself.

This issue was processed by our team and will be looked into. We thank you for your feedback.

This is realistic. Normally people have to purchase tall sights specifically meant for use with a suppressor. The new sights are less than ideal due to the increased height over bore.

This is realistic, depending on the suppressor model used.

However, a simple fix would be to use a suppressor model that has built-in ironsights.

The issue has popped up again with the 4-five pistol -- although its "high profile" sights are so tall specifically in case of use with a sound suppressor, the misalignment of the Sound Suppressor (.45 ACP) on the model undoes this. Examples of what should instead be presented can be seen here:

Speaking of which, the ironsights are NOT co-witnessing with the MRD as depicted here:
