Falling or running off objects needs to feel more fluid, at the moment it feels like you have to wait a few seconds to be able to move as if you were hanging in the air for a few seconds like arma 2.

Jumping from any height in full gear needs some recovery time. Animation isn't perfect, but knowing where to move (and where not) while in a firefight can also give you an advantage over your opponent if he makes a wrong step (e.g. over an edge).
I also think this pause is a feature that simulates recovery time after a jump or fall, but I'm sold on the idea that having an anim and/or sound to go with it would make it look a 1000 times better.
