When a large building is damaged by an explosion, parts of the building are often visible during the process, and are seen to "jump" from intact to ruined.

Blow up a large building, such as the control tower, observe the parts of the building that are not obscured by the explosion.
This could be helped substantially by buildings generating a cloud of dust when they collapse, obscuring the model switch.

Another posibility would be to create animations for the destruction which would be even better.

Two ways to fix this:
1.) Enlarge the dust/smoke effects that occur when a building collapses (and have them stay around longer as well).
2.) Have actual dynamic building destruction, based on a physics-engine.
