There's a little bug for speedboats.
If you exit it when it's not fully stopped, it will keep to move forward at the same speed it was.
If you come to a complete stop, instead, is going to stay exactly where it is when you exit it

Pinpointed the issue (MP Scenario).
I'm going to try explaining it with a practical example on a Co5 mission played by 2 players only to keep it short:

------------------

You have a squad made of 5 units, all playable (doesn't matter if you leave AI enabled or not).
The 1st player that joins the server takes the unit at the slot number 3, the 2nd player takes slot number 1.

At this point you would be expecting the 2nd player being squad leader and the 1st player being a subordinate unit.

Instead, you have the squad leader that is the 1st player with unit number 3.

ArmA3 assigns the SL role based on joining sequence!
Tested and always reproducible :)

Hope DEVs will see this so they wont become crazy to find why it happens

I think it's because of the logical steps the editor follows.

If you place an empty vehicle without anyone to board it, it's useless so it "blocks" you from doing that.
Instead if you place a Player before and empty vehicle everything is fine and the logic is executed without erros anywhere

I better like the ArmA3 one.. it's a HUD-Glasses GPS (check the tactical glasses from player customization menu) and works like a charm once you get used to it.
It allows you to keep your eyes "ready" for combat and check the GPS at the same time.
In fact, you shouldn't go around with your GPS up 24/7.

It's just a matter of different mag shape.
As Andersen said, MX series uses caseless rounds (shorter round in the overall) while TAVOR series doesn't.

Due to this, the 2 families of rifles use different shaped mags to accomodate the bullets in it and can't in any way be compatible each other.

It's almost the same "problem" that you would be facing when trying to use a FAL mag on a SCAR-H in real life, where the SCAR-H has different shaped mag "head" to fit with the firing mechanism

It's more because of a AI related problem.
They don't know how to solve the AI identifying the player as friendly or enemy when wearing their faction's camo.

IMO would be an easy fix: let AI spot you based on a "timeout" that changes on distance.

Example:
within 20 meters from enemy AI > 5 seconds to be identified
between 20 and 50 meters > 20 seconds to be identified

and so on.

The real error is that the soldier ALWAYS re-cocks the gun after changing mag (check the animation from 3rd person view).

That's because the team leader (AI) is commanding you to disembark when you get in the vehicle and you are forced to.
IIRC was the same in A2

Ah, i misunderstood the issue then :)
That's strange.. i was able to get in vehicles when i wasn't squad / team leader, but instantly "ejected" by the order to disembark from the SL/TL.

Are you sure that the vehicle lock status is set to "unlocked" in the editor ?
Also, what vehicle was it ? maybe just that particular one

That said, i don't recall, in the game, the US Army.
As far as i know (please correct me since you can have more knowledge about this particular aspect than me) US Army wears ACU uniforms while in the game we have Multicam uniforms

actually in the game you play as NATO in the Blufor, so it's logical they use NATO procedure, therefore it's correct to hear roger-wilco as per NATO procedures.

From NATO brevity codes manual

ROGER:
22 - ROGER - Indicates the receipt of radio transmission; does not indicate compliance or reaction

WILCO:
39 - WILCO - Will comply with received instructions

Roger only means "i got what you're saying".
Wilco implicitly comprehends "i got what you're saying" because of the logical sense of it, but the word only means "i will do" or "i will comply", nothing else.

It's an alpha, we don't have true dedicated servers yet and there's no BE support, yet.

you probably don't get the "shoulder tap" use.

Think about it based on this practical example (personal experience in A2 with ACE):
We were using the in-game VOIP for a PVP dynamic campaign, was a night infiltration mission and, as you may know, the enemy side can hear your side comms when using "direct channel".
We were close to the airbase wall, obj was to destroy a plane hidden in there and we spotted 2 enemy units (players, no AI in that mission) and we couldn't talk but i did need to move back and to say that to my team mate in front of me.

I've been facing the "what to do" problem:

  • Speak ? The enemy would hear me and spot us
  • Write in side chat ? Wouldn't be fairplay ;)
  • SHOULDER TAP! We are on ACE!

That saved the mission because i could "tell" him that i was moving and noone "heared" us

As i said the problem wouldn't be mirroring the hands or the guns, but all the animation that will have to be made (again) from scratch with left-handed in mind !!

Just think about the vault animation, for example, and you'll get the point

Skipping trough the useless discussion that is going here above, the lack of left-handed option is mainly due to the pain that would be the rework of all the animation.
Left handed 1st person view is not just about mirroring the image of hands and the gun, but also all the animations would have to be remade from scratch

In alpha stage this is not even a medium priority issue... high priority issues are low fps / general performance while urgent (aka critical) are stability issues.

I don't know how realistic that would be but i would expect something like that in 2035.
Would be a good idea to implement something "different" but only as far as the IR lasers from the claymore are not visible without NVG :P

Just because they are rarely used it's not a good reason to keep a perfectly realistic and quite usefull way to detonate a claymore mine (notice the classification: MINE, not CHARGE) out of a military simulation game.

For sure it's not an high priority issue but it should be fixed as soon as the real problems are dealt with.

To check the integrity just open Steam window, go in the Library, right click on ArmA3 and you'll find in the first window that pops up a "button" that says something about checking the file integrity cache.

Also, there's a thread about "strange" crashes with Window8, you may report your system details, dxdiag and .rpt file there too.

Check your game integrity via Steam.
There are a lot of players playing MP missions and accessing gears at crates, vehicles, personal gear, etc.

Are you sure you're not getting shot at and your wheels being hit ?
Also, make sure you don't hit rocks or other obstacles on the ground that may damage (flatten) your wheels.

One of the very first thing i did with a friend was racing around the whole stratis island and it was just fine !
