Ctrl+Alt+Del out of game is difficult
Closed, ResolvedPublic

When editing or scripting I am constantly switching between in-game, in-editor and a variety of other applications. I've encountered an annoying problem with A3 in that attempting to Ctrl+Alt+Del out of the game when it's running in fullscreen via the Task Manager often doesn't work. There is some flickering, a bit of black screen and then we're back in the game again. Repeated attempts - sometimes up to a dozen - are required in order to successfully exit out onto desktop. Granted, editing can be done running in windowed mode, but this was never a problem for me with previous ARMA titles so maybe there's a quick and simple fix?

So you are using Ctrl-Alt-Del to switch to desktop?

Temporary workaround is to have another window open in background along with A3 (other than STEAM)

Yeah, apparently I'm a total Steam noob. Just clued in tonight that the proper way to switch out of a Steam game and back to desktop is using ALT+TAB! PEBKAC; downvoting my own ticket.

I'll take that to mean this can be closed. ;)
