Generally more gestures, YES!!
I was thinking it would be no problem to program double-tap F-keys for an extra set of gestures as well.
Or Shift-F-keys for another set of 11 gestures.
I think the suicide gesture needs to go out of the F-keys and moved to another menu, maybe the ESC menu.

For some weird reason, I never saw a real sniper duct tape a rangefinder to his sniper rifle. They actually have an additional guy in their team calling the shots.... so
I would go further with this.
I would make it necessary to cut a steak into 4 (stackable up to 4) meat strips that you have to manually hold over the fireplace with a sharp stick to cook if you want to be sure it doesn't fall into the fire.
Whatever the case, this artificial necessity to carry a pot and cooking tripod is an immersion breaker.

I personally think all this stuff is cool and all, but somehow it annoys me that you can run around wearing a welding mask or payday mask, and not suffer any disadvantages as concerns your field of view.
For example, have you ever worn a hoodie during the rain while riding your bike?
Every time you want to look over your shoulder to see if you can overtake a parked vehicle (i.e. see if there is a car approaching behind you) the hoodie blocks 80% of your field of view, forcing you to pull it back with one of your hands.
Otherwise, I think the model is super-hot and I wish they would add more non-military post-apocalyptic stuff to the game such as this.
You can't implement this stuff in third person view gaming though. And that just irks me. There should also be a disadvantage to wearing a hood in game if there is a disadvantage in real life.
The sad part is, it isn't even a hack. They found a way to make themselves invisible by using a certain item in a certain surrounding. It happens quite frequently. I guess by accident with some people, but also on purpose.

You wouldn't find drinkable water in the basin of a toilet, it'd be totally polluted, if not fully dried up.
But yes, more immersion would be great. I also hate how everything is so static. If you throw a grenade next to a wood table, nothing happens. Hell, not even glass breaks in this game.
I agree with you on that. The storage system is over the top.
Space in a properly geared sniper:
2x3 Gorka pants
2x3 Gorka jacket
2x4 Assault vest
Total 14 spaces
Stuff you have to carry around to survive
Knife 2 spaces
Bottle 2 spaces
Matches 1 space
Morphine / splint 1 or 2 spaces
Spare ammo 2 spaces
Can opener 1 space
Side-arm 4 spaces
Spare space to remove scope 2 spaces
Rags / bandage 1 space
That's 16 to 17 spaces you need. And you're not even carrying rocks, a pot or a .... COOKING TRIPOD!! (LOL) around with you, not to mention any food.
If some of the items were properly sized, it wouldn't be so much of a problem.

BUT having said that, I think that storage should be reworked.
Items like matches, knife etc. take up waaay too much space. You should be able to pack more stuff into your pockets and into your assault vest.
You're working on this from the wrong side.
Ammo does not have to become more stackable.
We need more space for small items like knives, matches and fishing hooks, things that don't take up space at all in real life.
Quarter the size of some items and quadruple the space in bags.
Example: Matches = 1x1 Beans = 4x4 Pistol = 4x8
Generally, the inventory needs reworking ever since they took the possibility to super-über-pack your bag exploiting pants and high-cap-vests.
I totally don't see how matches, handcuffs and keys can use up so much space.
Also, I think firewood should be more readily available.
Three pieces of firewood? A little bit over the top in my opinion. Or let me rephrase that, in that case, chopping down trees doesn't generate enough firewood.

I have to say that I once saw a guy glitch through a gate at Green Mountain without opening it. I am 100% certain it was closed because I spawned in after server restart.
He just rain to the edge of the gate and continued running on the spot for a second then glitched into the compound. Gate remained closed
I do think there is a script or something that perhaps opens the gate for a split second and closes it immediately? After all, opening and closing interrupts the game sound

Friends of mine lighted a fireplace right on top of a haybale in one of the single-story haybarns.
Me, on the other hand, I couldn't light a fire right in the middle of the open of a castle courtyard.

Similar thing happened to me when throwing a fire-extinguisher.
Looped for about four or five times, then I fell face-first on the floor and couldn't get up.
I could change items in my inventory, though. Put something different in my hands.
I could see my character lying on the floor from above, but I couldn't move.

Same here. I've been at the top of green mountain tower and heard people communicating on my frequency, but they never responded to me despite several attempts and it saying 87.8 MHz at the bottom left.

You need to spend ages by the campfires.
Believe me! Get yourself a thermometer and measure your temperature. It will be at 35°C (lowest possible display) and stay there for ages when you are by the fire.
It's important it says "I am slowly warming up" every once in a while.
Try it out, please, let me know if it worked (did for me and a friend though he didn't believe me!!)

You have to run forward when changing weapons, then your character will continue to jog forward as he is switching. If you are strafing sideways or standing when switching weapons, your character will be glued to the ground.
Issue voted up. This needs to be changed, definitely!

Yes, that sounds feesible.
I actually have reproduced it a few times by now, even if unwillingly. It has to do with a discrepancy between when the character is saved and the server loot is saved.
Problem is, you have to know precisely what second (+/- 2 seconds) the server will restart.
Meaning admins can exploit this to their advantage. It has nothing to do with server crashes, but restarts. Brain!

If you've ever tried making "rope" out of natural fibers, you wouldn't be posting this suggestion. It's so hard it's ridiculous.
To make real rope, you need to dry the fibers first, then wet them, then it takes aaaages to weave them. So just forget it.
However, I think it would be cool to have like a make-shift rope made of duct tape. It's pretty sturdy. Would give the stuff some purpose, too. But that would mean making new models for the improvised backpack and all that.
When you get OUT a V3, the item in your hands spawns on the floor where you got IN the V3. Meaning if you drove several miles and get out, the gun spawns on the ground where you got in.

Yeah, I don't care about the wipe given all the duping that's been going on, but a little warning ahead of time would have been swell. I hate how you guys can't give us an exact time and date for this kind of thing.. we do like testing but when you're this geared, you do like to go out in a firefight not just wiped like this.
As for the other issue, yes, no servers are working at all. Lag and desync. No loot. Can only join one in twenty servers in the first place. No message received after 5 minutes max.

I successfully played many great pieces. People came into the piano building and beat me senseless, nevertheless.
But if you have to do it, here's how
1.) Hook up a laptop, tablet or smartphone to a cable with two 3.5mm audio plugs. Plug the other one in your microphone socket on PC
2.) Select a fine masterpiece from youtube
3.) Double tap Caps-Lock
4.) Play the youtube piece
5.) Sway left and right to imitate going up and down the keys.
6.) Enjoy getting whacked by players and zombies
@SgtPotatoes: if you read the description of the Gorka gear, it implies there is a military base there.
@Zyryanoff: I would run around in more civilian stuff if the inventory system wasn't so ridiculously over the top. You can not fit enough stuff for survival into a small bag, even if you go with the basics.. And besides that, Gorka is the only rain-proof gear, leather jackets and police and firefighter gear in Chernarous is made of toweling, apparently.

Having said that, you are right that military gear is super OP
Though in Chernarous, I would expect high-quality military gear to be more common than expensive civilian gear.
However, just for the survival and post apocalyptic experience, I also think military gear should be reduced.
Example: Gorka gear. Sure, there's some elite unit in Gorka (where there's not even a military base) and they have awesome stuff. But it's so overpowered: 6 pockets instead of four, camouflaged, rain-proof, keeps you warm.....
There is no civilian clothes comparable.
Some civilian clothes like the bomber jacket or the riders jacket aren't even rainproof to the slightest degree.
There is no 6-pocket jacket, except the firefighter jacket afaik.
This would explain why I looted a guy carrying an Izh as well as a sawed off Izh

Was on three servers today.
One had zero boat loot, the other two were FULL of rain jackets and boonie hats. Like 6-8 items per boat roughly.
And I kid you not, on one of the servers I found 12 (!!!) nettings (3 spawns on one server in one session, 4 nettings each)

Confirmed. I couldn't find any loot at all on boats though friends told me I ought to at least find wellies and boonie hats.
Hopped around Berezhki in roughly 30 servers today and there were three servers with any loot on boats at all (one 2x netting loot) and the others were all completely bare.
I've spent several days in Berezhki now, mostly chilling waiting for fellow hoppers to loot. I caught about 10, but needless to say, NOBODY ever had any netting on them.
I also did about 20 runs each day myself on all sorts of servers, and there is no loot spawns despite server resets. Seems that if there is any loot on boats AT ALL though, it is only on PERSISTENT servers!
I also noticed that despite the server maintenance yesterday, the loot is still the same.
Another thing I noticed is that on one server, all the boonie hats were visible but non-lootable (not in vicinity and also no context menu popping up ingame), so I suppose that their point of reference is below the surface and thus non lootable.
So I wonder if on the servers were there is apparently no loot in the boats, the loot is there but under the ground?
Changing the compass to another piece of clothing solves the issue every time with me.
I have to add I never put my compass in my hand because I mostly carry two rifles. So I just "inspect" when in my inventory but I also get this issue.
EDIT: Whatever the case, I maintain that the container makes the difference. Otherwise it would have been spontaneous errors but the error always came when I had compass in tac-shirt and didn't come when I had it in my pants. I switched back and forth five times to make sure it had to do with the container.

Pantsright: I have the compass in pristine pants and it is showing the right direction (looking at hill away from Myshkino military tents = EAST)
TacShirtwrong: All I did was move the compass to my damaged (or badly damaged?) grey tactical shirt. The compass now shows almost towards West
EDIT: I need to add I moved the compass back and forth repeatedly and noticed it always worked when in my pants pocket and always NOT worked when in my tactical shirt.

Doesn't exist on the mainstream market. There are specialists that sell replacement parts to enable this modification, and a skilled person could make his own parts in a steel mill maybe given he had the right resources and electricity... but no.
I think it's good how it is. Not every gun should be able to utilise every type of scope.

But even then, the general weapon sway for shots at 500 m is ridiculous.
Well the persistent servers have buildings that just overload with gear so much that it causes massive lag spikes.
There's so much stuff on some airfields that three people can go in bambi and come out full gear within 15 minutes.

First pub / café that I ran into had a bedroom that was literally cluttered with floating med-paks

Medpak1 is the picture of them all in original state, floating mid air in the room when I arrived.
Medpak2 is to show the amount (11 pieces) and the state they were all in (some things missing, everything damaged and badly damaged)
I should also note that some of the medpaks were "inside each other" meaning it looked like one was there but when I picked it up, another one was there
Also I attached a picture of another house where I found three gas lanterns. I am finding tons of gas lanterns, btw. More than makes sense.
The last picture is one of two CZ527 that were lying outside a fire station gate. They were actually on top of each other (optically one rifle, but in vicinity you saw two). I picked one up and moved it a few meters to show there are two pieces.

understood. But it would be a great help for people actually wanting to TEST the game at this point to at least spawn with some food and a jacket, not just a t-shirt.
This is ALPHA phase after all. What is wrong with at least the experimental servers having players spawn with a little bit of gear?
