Imagine being behind a infected and say "Hey you!" and the infected reacts/hears and chases you. This can become a thing when people are chatting and the infected hear and chase you.

The new animal AI is in EXP, right?
Should only be a matter of time until it's appropriated for zed AI.

More the reason to use Skype or Ventrillo or Team Speak.

I think zombie aggro and pathing mechanic needs fixing first, with a much more liberal fuck off mechanic for when there is no path available, and a much weaker chase (ex. you cut 2-3 corners and the zombie loses you instead of having mental GPS).

You opt to speak in game and then you find your building surrounded by zombies.

I agree, Z's should ear what we say.
But for now it's more the general Z AI that need fixing.

This would be nice if there were more zombies.
Throw a walkie talkie, keep distance and talk on walkie talkie.
Zombies go to walkie talkie and you can go safely to police station or whatever.

I can expect the new zombie AI to come out 0.55, reacting to voice chatter aswell, as it was a feature in the mod.

I could swear this has already been in game for ages.
