Description

To submit a report, click on the star in the top right corner of the page and select "New DayZ PC Bug Report" or "New DayZ Private Bug Report" (if you are handling sensitive information)

DayZ is a gritty, authentic, open-world survival horror hybrid-MMO game, in which players follow a single goal: to survive in the harsh post-apocalyptic landscape as long as they can. Players can live through powerful events and emotions arising from the ever-evolving emergent gameplay.

For client crashes, please have a look at the following:

Create a new issue and clearly label it as a crash in the title. For example:

"Game Crash - Dropping a protector case crashes the game"

Next, provide insight into how you got your game to crash. Include as much information about what you were doing around the time the game crashed. Every little detail can help us fix the problem. Remember to mention whether this happens on the stable or experimental branch of the game.

GOOD:
"The game crashed when I dropped a protector case on the ground while playing on an experimental server. I had the protector case in my backpack and drag and dropped it into the vicinity window. The case contained a canteen and a pack of rice. I have tried this several times and it happens every time"

BAD:
"Game crashed when I dropped a protector case"

Include steps to reproduce if you think that they are necessary and aren't obvious enough from the description. Always describe reproduction step by step.

  1. Open inventory
  2. Place the protector case in your backpack
  3. Drag and drop it into the vicinity tab
  4. Game Crashes

Don't forget to include the game's version (can be found in the main menu).

Now for the most important part of all.

We need you to upload a few files from your computer. Specifically, the crash dumps that are generated with every crash and the dxdiag report from your computer.

Getting your DxDiag file:

  1. Open the Start menu
  2. Write "dxdiag"
  3. Press enter
  4. A window will open
  5. Click "Save all information"

You will get a text file - that's what we need

Getting your crash dumps:

Go to this file location: "C:\Users<Name>\AppData\Local"
There you should see a DayZ folder.
Create a .zip or .rar file of that folder.

Then take the .zip/.rar and the DxDiag file and upload them to the Feedback Tracker issue. You can do so by dragging/dropping your files into the Description text field for example. Use the "New DayZ Private Bug Report" form when sending us crash logs as they may contain personal data from your computer.

I think the nature of this problem applies not only to the battery. I do not know what to associate with this problem, but today I had the same case with the keys to handcuffs. I entered the game and when I first opened my inventory, the image of the keys was correct. At some point, I received the same result as in the ticket - there was no picture of the keys to the handcuffs. I suppose that this can happen with any object in a slot for one cell.

I once met such a run. At that time, I thought it was a communication problem on my side or on the server. I just entered the server, made about twenty meters, when suddenly I heard a very fast sprint. I was behind the fence and from the 3D view I saw how a player on fast forward ran through the city and disappeared in one of the quarters.
Thank you for this experience, I hope the DayZ guys will be able to do something against it. The only moment, probably it was necessary to make a private ticket, so that such information would not have a wide audience.

Workaround found: Got a friend to pick up backpack and dispose of a saline bag and bloodset kit in case they were cause. seams to be fine so far.

Gates have gotten worse. After reboot you still have to cut off your lock and rebuild the gate to put on a new lock....but now in addition to these existing issues as mentioned you are blocked after opening the gate and can't walk through. My work around is to open the gate and then close it on my self so I'm facing the inside of gate, dismantle the upper or lower boards and then run forward. This pushes me through the gate to the outside. After this I can open the gate a walk through just fine. Have to reassemble the gate afterwards...running through tools.

I will support the problem, I noticed that the problem will appear with random reboots, but not with the planned ones, after the planned reboot it works stably, there is no possibility to pass through the gate until it interacts, namely add / remove building materials.
as well as there is a problem with the locks after the reboot, the password becomes random.

@strelok12 I see on your video that when a black screen appears, a low FPS appears at the same time and the sound disappears. As soon as the sight is lowered, the screen, FPS and sound are restored. I do not know if this is connected with the server or your PC, but I would start by checking the game files and defragmenting them. How often does this happen? And how at this moment your RAM is loaded, how many percent is free / not used?

Correction, apparently it doesn't have to pertain to attachments. Restarted the server now and the bug remained even though all attachments were removed.

After some experimenting, I can confirm that this bug seems to pertain to various attachments to the gate. If you leave any construction materials attached to the gate, you will get the impasse bug; remove all nails, planks, sheet metal, etc, and you should be able to use the gate normally. However, this still needs a hotfix, because this has also made things like barbed wire unusable as it also counts as attatchments.

@Geez The problem was partially solved. But there are still frequent problems when we get visual contact with the object and its state, but we don’t see it in the vicinity menu.

And there is a rare case, but it happens sometimes. The object that I throw on the floor may disappear in the texture of the floor or the ground. It is difficult to create instructions for reproducing this, but it happens sometimes. I will try to reproduce it and create another ticket.

I'm also getting this issue when I emptied my found Mag_FNX45_15Rnd with 5 rounds. The problem is, unlike for you, my rounds didn't end up in any medical kits or other containers nor on the ground... I noted that at the same time, other items on the ground in the vicinity didn't show up on the Inventory screen, but further away other items did.

Make a backup of and delete your \Documents\DayZ\ folder.
If it doesn't work, it could be a graphics issue since your error report gives the code 0x00000001 - UNABLE_TO_INIT_DXGI.
Then try and reinstall an updated graphics driver.
