I think that as the game progresses, the indoor fireplaces need to become interactive.
I've added pictures as a reference.
1.) Electric stove: no use
2.) Small, rectangular stove with metal door and exhaust pipe: Should be possible to add fireplace kit and sticks / wood (or alternatively diesel fuel?) and then ignite with match to create heat and also cook with pot and pan (actually, why not fry meat directly on it tbh)
3.) Windowed tile stove: Should be possible to add fireplace kit and sticks / wood and then ignite with match to create heat
4.) Fireplace (for example in bed and breakfast log cabins) Should be possible to add fireplace kit and sticks / wood and then ignite with match to create heat
On a general note, I also think that just having wood and adding a bottle of alcohol or 5% of a 20 l gas canister should also be able to light the wood instead of a fireplace kit.
