Back to the issue, yeah happened to me also. Try to not join servers that are restarting, leave them few minutes. Hope this will be fixed soon...

Now what i don't know is that if it have been a bug that f***ed all up or that the public persistance server fully restarted deleting every persistent object...
Yeah, that's what i meant with this post because i know there's a lot of work before this, but to make devs consider this is an awesome tweak for a future when they will be with more "spare" time.

My team also had this problem, we filled the tent with AK's they duplicated, and now after few days everything is missing.
All this happened last night, when we reach the position of the tent, tried to switch to the tent server and the server didn't appeared on the list. A public server with persistance on. I never experienced this with public servers. When they fall after a restart they usually get stuck at 14:00 with 0 people, but this time the server didn't even appeared on the list.
Could the server have ben fully restarted? i mean, could a public persistance server be fully restarted, deleting all the persistance items?
Or maybe the tent f***ed up with almost 10 ak's around it?
I want to think this first two possible problems are the issue, because the tent was so well hide between trees in a safe area. And filled with almost 10 ak's. So stealing it would be difficult and finding it so lucky.
I have two friends that always happen to them after 20 mins. Don't know why i am not getting this issue.
It's like melee weapon range of attack have been reduced drastically. Now i am unable to hit a punch on a prone zombie/player.
I "solved" this problem deleting the "turbo mode" key on shift. Now i have just "fast forward" and i don't throw my weapon automatically again.
So frustrating. But i not only lost my character, i also lost all my in-game settings and my .cgf files changed to default. Didn't you guys loose all your in-game settings?

This happened to me also. Experimental 0.48 server yesterday. Not only my characte r reset, but all my in-game settingss and all my .cfg changed to default. Haven't happened to me since months. So frustrating...
@the yog man : yes it is frustrating, but try to contribute and talk correctly. This is not a forum for kids.
Priority fix, Public servers should be autorestarted if they can't get up after a restart. Doesn't make any sense the fact of having to wait to the next normal restart to see if they can get up...
Don't know if this is due to the tents or not, but i am seeing a lot of public servers stuck with 0 players at 14:00.
They said persistence was fixed, my team placed our first tent yesterday and restarted 10 mins later. Server was stuck at 14:00 after the restart...
Theres nothing more frustrating that playing a game legit and see people doing this kind of things. Devs should have a part of the 160ppl team focused on hacks and glitches because it's getting heavy.
Exactly happened to me couple times today. It's like a desync but don't understand then why the game tells me i have 0 desync, good bandwith and good ping...
yeah but i find that fruit almost only gives me water. As said that day i had 2 cans , apples a potato and a pack of cereals in 5 mins and didn't get nothing being in a normal status.
Of course with a whole pack of rice you get it, but i feel it's not as before and din't ee anything on changelog...
Same here, multiple towns, all doors closed. First time i see a not looted police station empty of weapons and attachments.

But by the same rule you should also take time to mount a scope, a suppressor, compensator...etc. Doesn't make any sense to just implement that with reloading the mag and having the ability of mount a scope in 1 second. Always with the posibility of cancelling the action i would agree.
Didn't mentioned yesterday that there are load of priorities before this. Actually with the amount of hackers this would give them much more advantage. So besides i like it, theres a lot of priorities before this. And if the devs like it shouldn't be implemented until the perfomance issues are fixed.
The problem comes when you ignore them too much you get killed for mistaking them from real ones. Like i heard that if somenone reload while talking via VOIP the whole server hear it. Ver big issue

Seems so with the new persistence feature.
I've read that if a player leaves an item in a respawn zone, nothing will respawn. This added to the insane reduction of loot are the issues that are making very hard to survive even moving trough multiple towns.

I have to tell yoy that i know few sniper stories about them not being able to move for days and had to pee/poop on himselves.
So i would kinda like this if i had the option of doing that on myself, resulting on having to wash my pants if i don't want an infection/disease or something...not ruining a pants for just pooping on them, lol.
So yes, i would like this if we had both possibilities. Doing it right and on myself, if the moment ask for it, to be a non-breaking game feature.
But what i always say to all this "Sims 4" feature requests. As you say excrement is consistent with eating, then you should ask for having to wash yourself for not getting diseases right? Or sleeping? Come on man, i think this is taking too far, this is not "Sims 4"... Doesn't make any sense implementing ones and not others if what you want is a life-sim...

I find that my character do this bug just when pressing "shift" plus "+". Never happened to me related to prone positions. It is tottally game breaking nad hope a fix soon, because until then dayz will be unplayable.
If they were aware of it, any of the various reports of this issue should be "assigned" and they are not. A lot of issues around them are assigned and this aren't, so seems that moderators of this forum are ignoring this issue.
Instead writing i believe that... Post the information confirming it, if not, just vote up the reports whith this issue.
i experience that with any key on thrown item on assignmetns, if i press "shift" + "+" i throw whatever in my hands is. Pirority fix.
I agree with the last reporter i found the barracks near NEAF completely empty and all doors closed. Loot is pretty f*cked up right now, don't know what they are doing that barracks worked good until 0.48.

Your pc as everyone else, doesn't run well arma/dayz because his One-Core love but you might not notice much in this aspect because your 3.2ghz are in two cores, i have 3.5ghz in 8 cores so arma/dayz run so bad in this type of CPU
shadow distance 250? turn that to 50-100, and shadows ingame to very low.
view distance turn it at least at 2000. I have it at 1800m.
Do more research before posting here, there is lot of tweaks in google.
(-winxp launch parameter doesn't work anymore for me, that parameter really gave me 10 fps inside towns)
This issue seems to be fixed. Now i can enable HDR up to low. Don't know if it was a graphics card driver problem ( always have them up to date ) or an issue related to this type of AMD g.card. Thanks for the support.
I had the same issue again in version 0.46
I changed HDR from very low to low near the shore, and i automatically went into the middle of the sea, also not seeing nothing in a radius.
Switched back to very low and went again to the initial position. Did it again and the same happened.
Due to the fact in 0.46 there is another character data, i will try to record this this afternoon. i attached the pictures i shot.
Should i make another post including version 0.46?
That would mean that i would also loose all my characters again, but if i loose them playing, i could try it again. It was just changing the HDR from very low to low while waiting for the spawn delay of a server with pc specs: cpu fx8320 3.5ghz hd7870 2gb gpu 8gb ram, just in case the specs help you
there's another post saying this is due to 0% invisible cans making the slot unsuable.

just done it with 1 rag i thing, you just have to throw the sitck to the floor and then apply the rag there.
@pkactus I know axes are jello, but you must agree with me in the fact zombies are hiting you with way too high angle of attack, i mean, you are jello axeing a zed, turn around him when he "raise his hands to do the attack" and he could hit you even 10 feet behind him.
I could asume the distance from the front, but that ridiculous range of attack? almost 360º...
edit: and i am talking with 30-50 ping, no desync, 300-400 bandwidth
This should be solved quickly, Even with the actually supposed the "BEST" melee weapon in the game in pristine condition good bandwidth/ping/desync you have to land like minimum 10-15 hits on a zombie even hitting him a few in the head. And if there's 3 zombies what?
Then what i am supposed to do with a baseball bat? And im not going to talk about trying to kill one with a machete...
I am actually more concerned about zombies trough walls that bandits...
I can confirm 100% sure that this bug still persists on the v0.47 experimental, in normal servers.
A friend of mine killed a guy with at least 4-5 M4 shots and i din't heard anything being less than 20m from him.

I can't understand how any admin/moderator have acknowledged/reviewed this issue yet.
With 20+ players, runining trough tight spaces, doors,steps,holes in walls/fences... will for sure take you back before the obstacle.

Zombies should fall going fast downhill, they are not well coordinated, they just fall in very steep slopes as it should... Another question would be if they should always die from that...
And i agree theres almost 70% of the times you find something above a wardrobe you son't be able to pick it neither in first or third person nor vicinity.

The logout delay, as all the other games i played, should be while you are in the server. Like not moving or not shooting for 30 seconds, then the exit option will be available.
I can't imagine asolution for server hopping. Establishing time between changings servers will not solve anything. The problem comes by the fact you can respawn anywhere

This issue became massive in the latest patch 0.45, way bigger than the 0.44 was.
If you try to pass trough a tight space RUNNING,almost always you will teleport back before that obstacle. tight spaces involve everything from a building door/steps to a hole in a wall/fence.

sun shine is always there (inside forests, buildings, .. even the moonshine is way too high.
Moderator, keep in mind we should all be having this issues with HDR in very low, because HDR takes too much fps, and i also have an empty world bug due to having it on low.
I think this shine should be reduced a lot.
Yesterday tryib to relog to a restarted server i lost my character, in-game settings and my .cfg archive changed to default. Haven't had this issue since months...

My team got stucked in a Madrid when whe were going into the water in a beach. The problem came when the wheels were still slightly touching the ground making the propellers not starting. So we hadn't enough wheel traction to get out of there neither propellers working due to some wheels were still touching ground.
Btw i live in Madrid and always thought that ATV name was Marid LOL

It just looks so unnatural, you are no running with fatigue, it is just a shoddy work, with the running animation in slow-mo.
I made one fatigue shooting training with a g36 and I do airsoft so yes, think about i carry more or less 5kg less than a soldier ( because my vest is not the same and i dont carry so many things in the backpack plus my m4 doesn't weight so much) , i do not run in such slow mo when i am tired, just run at less speed and don't even have such a beast soldier training.
What bohemia is making with all this changes is to make modders work more to fix the things they progessively break. My team is currently playing without the fatigue system because with it, it is impossible to move at decent speeds. And don't like it, i want a simulator. Miss the old system as many other things...

I tried both gun up and gun down. But i have to say i just tested this on a "King of the hill server" and i hope this was modified in the server because if not this is extreme. I would't stand this change if i were still playing coops. with my team, it's a frustrating slow-mo movement. I can't test this in another server now because i am with exams next week, but i will upload a video in two weeks.
That videos redirecting to the post of the BIS forums represent perfectly what i am trying to say. And a Dev. admited in that post that the actual change is a weird slow-mo movement. "Also the fatigue is a bit weird. Weird in that you keep running but in slow-mo."
Still no fix for this after almost a year?
I agree with you OP. this impressed me a lot since the Alpha. The stances should be able to select with all the items.
And don't know why this was marked as resolved. It isn't resolved at all already in 1.24.
