When running down steep hills in the woods (pine) I have heard a zombie growl and then it has flown past me and it has landed a few meters down the hill dead on arrival. The death may be deliberate or a bug although I suspect it is a bug as the zombies are tough enough to fall down a hill. It makes sense that the zombies may miss and stumble down the hill so maybe this is an issue with the zombie animation.
