I'm getting the same. When I have to many back packs on the ground close to each other I gat a lot of lag. The backpacks are no bigger then the taloon son not that many items in one place. If I spread them out I can get the lag to go.

So the military and paramedics only stay in thoughs places then? They don't go out from their bases and hospitals to fight and provide first aid? Although you are right the mil bases and hospitals should be the main places for thoughs items. I don't want loads of mil/medical loot outside thoughs places, but it would be nice to find the odd item all be it a rare occurrence outside thoughs places. It might make you look in more buildings instead of ignoring them.
yep i have noticed that and you are right it does make looting very boring.
The funny thing is some clothing I left by a tree in a Mill camp did't despawn for 24hrs plus. May be they are the new backpacks lol.

No I have been playing the game over the last year and a half. I have been having this problem in the last few months.
Yep I have had the same sort of experience. Thought it was because it was cold. Died one time as I could not pick apples quicker than my energy loss. The next spawn at Nizhnoye manged to eat enough to get to light green energy healthy and dark green hydrated. Then got my self to light green hydrated and was at dark green energy after a search of Niz and a dink at the well. Went for a jog to Beriz up to where the 2 pubs and supermarket are and by the time I get to the first pub at the top of the rise I was dark orange energy and dying of dehydration. And I was only cold for the first 5 mins after that never got the cold status. I was on 1pp SNG 0-2 10-12pm uk time.
I have lost quit a few weapons like this.
There are things around. But there is very little of it as for food they should put a bit more of it in the game. I don't mind foraging, but the current system is very poor I wish they would implement a better system for picking fruit before reducing tinned food levels. And I'm not a farmer and I don't think many people are at the moment.
Thanks for the input ebrim, But people are already trying to deny you from apple picking by chopping down the trees so a change in the system is not going to stop that. I don't want the source to be easy, but at the moment they show you apples and berries on the tree/bushes in abundance, yet it takes you ages to get them. If this changed as the items are picked it would make for a bit more believable immersion and you would not wast time on a tree without apples and move to one with. The same could be done with berries. Plus the devs could control this source of food a bit better like cans are in a more balanced way IMOP. As the game develops and more infected are put in being healthy is going to be very important and I have lost count of the times I have died in the last exp update due to not being healthy and getting damaged by infected and not healing. I have even been attacked by them whilst foraging. And yes I do try to avoid them and yes you can run, but that burns up calories making it harder to get to energized and healthy. And any one who has played the game for any time knows how important it is to be healthy. I just think people want it to be a bit more realistic not necessarily easy.
I agree as they are making tinned food more rare it would be good to have a better foraging system on apple trees and berry bushes. I hate the current randum find system we have at the moment.
Yep I have noticed this bug. You can store items within items and so on as long as there is room.
I have come accross this twice. One the military base south east of Vybor. I looted it clean, went back there a day later and it was loot splosion again and the shed and house on the hill by the tree line south east of Zelengorst.
This has been reported before and the devs have said it is a random event. For a random event it happens so often I have lost count of the number of times I have lost items from pristine to ruined by 1-2 Hits from a zed. Because of this I run around with ruined Clothing and nothing of importance in them. I hope they sort this out soon.
After finding a crash site on a server returned 12 hrs later still there 24 hrs still there. And funny old thing no loot. I don't mind the bug per say, but having loot that is tied to the crash site is bad as there is no way of getting it as far as I can see. And I have not found any loot lying in the fields so far were crash sites spawn.

As I noticed on 0.54 on persistent servers over time the loot seemed to get less and less and all you found was the junk. It seams the same on 0.55. After the big update I was finding loads of stuff and ammo for my magnum. In the last 2 days I have found no 357 ammo the only thing I have got is some 9mm rounds. Plus food is getting rarer and I have only seen one animal to kill in the last 7 days. They could double the available loot and it would still be sparse. I don't want the game made easy, but a game should be fun which dayz is not at the moment.
As the OP said the devs spiel was for you to think do you risk going into that town / Mill installation. At the moment it is no as there is nothing of value in them to take the risk. I did a run from Vybor to Novy Sobor 2 days ago and searched every building and found nothing of interest or food. All I got was heartache as my kite got ruined by the zeds I encountered. Lets hope the situation improves.
I agree they are to hard. It should not take 4-5 hits with a fire axe to take a zed down 1-2 should be the norm. And if you are using some weaker weapon then it should take more hits to take them out. And the still fuck up your kit to quickly when they do damage it. In 0.55 I have had pristine items go ruined from 2 hits by a zed and that has not been a one off it has happened on multiple occasions. Not a major issue when the loot was more abundant, but with the current loot system it is. If you are taking on one zed they damage, but should not ruin your equipment so easily. A horde should be a different mater. It would be good to get the balance right they are a threat, but one on its on with the right melee weapon it should not be so much if an issue which it is not at the moment.
It would be good if zeds didn't ruin your kite as quickly. When they do damage to it they damage it hard. I have lost count of the items that have gone from pristine to ruined in 2 hits or less.
I don't mind them taking longer to kill, but I do mind that they still ruin pristine kit quickly. And as some people say even a well geared person has trouble let a lone a fresh spawn (no chance if they get aggroed). And its not just me then with zeds morfin in and out of the game. I was in a house, zed out side. I was going to head shot it to find my gun was out of ammo. In the time it took me to reload it had vanished. And I did look for it outside the building straight away and nothing. Also looked up a street and no zeds 5 seconds later there are 2 strolling around. As I had come from that direction they must have spawned in. And I was the only person on that server and I hadn't killed any at that point for them to spawn in.
I found a mace so thought I would try it out on a zed. What a mistake that was it was useless 6 blows to zed in head area and its still standing wtf. They wore suits of armour to protect them selves in the middle ages and a mace could still hurt you through that so unprotected it would do a lot of damage, but not in this game.
Yep defo 1p persistent servers are bugged. I'm find loot at all the crash sites I find on none persistent 1p servers.
Just found a UH1 on a persistent server and no loot around it. It might have been looted by other people I could not say for sure. I did look around it further out to see if the loot had spawned away from the crash site, but found nothing. Not conclusive but we shall see over time if this is a problem.
Yep in one run I encountered 3 MI crash sites and none of them had any loot in them or 40m around them that I could see. That was on a persistent server. I hope they fix this soon as what is the point of these crash sites where they have unique items that you cant get to test.
I was on a server that reset whilst playing on it. I went back onto that server and looked for crash sites I found 1 UH crash site, but no loot. As it was a fresh restart and only 1 other person was on at any time when looking for the crash sites I don't think it was looted and if it was I would expect to see items they would have removed to make room for anything of interest at the crash site. I was at the crash 20 mins after reset so not that long. I was on a 1 person server with persistence on.
I have sort of experienced this. I found the loot first then about 10-20 meters away the crash site. If I had found the heli first I would think the same as the op no loot spawning.
I agree zombie path finding seams to have gone back to the good old days, ops comments are valid but could be a bit more objective.
Is any one getting on? as on the server list it says 0/50 on all exp servers for me.
There was no one on the server so I would have to be very unlucky to be robbed. And taking my boots and trousers that didn't have anything of great interest in them? And the type of crash has been reported by me before and files attached. If you want me to re-send the information let me know.
Don't think so. I noticed that some times you use something, but the action does not finish thus stopping you doing anything else when you go back to the inventory screen. You can run around and do other things by placing them in your hand. It is not until you find something that says do you want to cancel the action that things go back to normal. E.g drink a can you don't get the drinking action then go to inventory and find you cant do anything. Find another can it says cancel action when you interact with it. So it looks like you have done something, the world acts as normal until you try to do something within the inventory screen and can't do anything. The thing stopping inventory interaction is an unfinished action.

I have no problem with things being hard to get, but I wish they would spawn in other places not just curtain areas. Then people would explore more and not go straight to the best loot areas. Yes military places and police stations should be the main place for the high chance of getting guns, ammo and mil kit, but not the only places to get them.
meleeing them would be good if you didn't miss them as much, you didn't get bleeds all the time and they didn't fuck you kit up so quickly. I do think the damage they do to you at the moment is spot on.
Oh great another exp server caught in a rest cycle. Thats only 3 1st person servers working as far as I can see now
Are the devs looking into this as the servers go into a loop after a while?
the servers on exp 1st person uk and de are on a constant reset cycle again.
We are going to get broken code, but some need urgent fixes like this. And as you say how can we test it if we can't get into the game.
did they do any checks before releasing this update? as this is a game stopping bug.
I get they spawn in on gun shots and may be them homing in on the noise, but when you have moved some distance from the original firing point and they still home into your new position and when you are in cover and quite there is something wrong, Or is that just me?
on 0.49 I take out 2 zeds in tree line just north of bolota airfield control tower. I stay in tree line to observe the airfield. I see a zombie spawn in 300 meters away and watch it head straight for me. Dispatch that one after moving back a bit. go take up my position again 60 seconds later 2 more zeds are on me. After that I thought fuck it take my chances looting the airfield as the zombies just keep on spawning in and going after me when they can spot see me, but I haven't spotted them. I hope they get this fixed as it is rather annoying that they know your exact location even when hidden or moved on some distance from where you shot them.
Having the same problem with fire axe hits to the head, not sure about body. One zed I had to shoot as I could not hit it with axe at all after at least 10 attempts while it was standing still. It was hitting me fine lol
Went for a swim on 0.49 and had the same problem.
I agree the trash should be recycled.
I have spent 2 hours looking for loot on exp HC and found next to nothing. Yes I can tell people have been there before me, but I wasn't even finding that much junk let alone any thing else. I was also on when the server rest. When I got back on doors that where open where closed now, but still no loot. Way to go devs how to kill a game.

I agree there should be more of a balance and may be have all spawn points have the chance of one of all the items on the list spawn at that point. Balancing out by military places have a higher chance of military kit spawn in, police stations have higher chance of police items spawn there and so on. So you might have a lucky fined in the less looted spots to get something good as well. Just a thought.
I have had this problem for the last 2 mouths and I feel the devs aren't that interested at the moment as I have posted it and seen others with the same problem posting too. I find it has to do with "field of view" setting for me. With it at its very lowest setting I can play ok without a crash. When I start to make it any higher that is when I start getting the crashes. The crash will happen at random times, but the larger the field of view the quicker it happens. It would be nice of them to sort it out as it is hard to fight the zeds when your field of view is narrow. I like to have my field of view about 1/4 of the way up the bar, but can't because of the crash. As it usually happens at the worst time when fighting a zed. By the time you are out of the game you are either dead or royally F***ed and its no fault of yours.

I do like the zombie re spawn, but you it seams that once you kill one its just a zombie spawn fest. The game feels like for every one you kill you must have more to come in. Even with a silent axe kill you get zombies spawn in and come after you so the game dynamic is not correct. It is set at kill one zed you must get more regardless of the way you took them out. And you can see them spawn in front of you.

I have had this problem for some time now and it is getting worse. There is no set time period. I can play for several hours and nothing will happen then other times within 30 mins the game will drop to desktop. It will happen more often if the field of view is maxed out. When you drop the field of view the game drops to desktop less. Since the last update with the field of view at its lowest setting I'm dropping down to the desktop more often than the .45 version. I could play all day on .45 with the lowest field of view setting and no crash.
It would be nice if you could let us know what is happening with this bug?

I have a pristine knife, cooking pot, gas bottle and stove. It happens to me to. Meat goes from raw to burnt, and I was keeping a eye on the steaks.
I found it made the game unplayable on experimental. It took me 10 mins to get out of a house as I would be teleported back to it.
Yep had a look and found nothing but roads and trees in that area.
Yep have the same problem as well and also the sight on fnx red dot is a dotted white square.

This bug is starting to get very annoying I just died as my screen went black and minimized just before I got attacked by a zed. By the time I got back in my character was all fucked up then died from bleeding as all my kit was ruined. This bug is starting to reproduce itself more often thus making the game almost unplayable. Can you look into this as it has been reported on other posts over the last month.
yes I get this problem every so often. I have a GTX650 and the latest nvidia drivers. But when I have this problem I don't have ruined kit when it happens.
I have an Nvidia gtx 650 and get the same problem.
haven't had the one shot yet, but do spend all of my time with ruined shirts and broken arms/legs from zombie attacks.
It would be good if stealth killing with an axe or such like stopped the zeds spawning in. I have done the old stealth kills and found that I still get attacked by several zeds that have spawned in after the first kill.
Zombie damage does the same. In one hit he ruined my trouser which were only worn and the magnum in them which was pristine.
Yep has been like this for some time. Even the military camps have not got there loot back yet. It would be nice for more places to spawn loot with there being more items to get in the game and more on there way.
I do like the zombies, But they give out to many bleeds/broken bones on a hit, the chance for these types of damage should be reduced. There attack distance is to high as they can hit me, but I can't hit them with an axe at the same distance. And they damage equipment to quickly a lot more. The grater part of the damage should be on me and not the items I am carrying IMOP. Not saying the above should go, but when more zeds are added this would make the game unplayable and I'm not looking forward to loosing my currant character and his kit as it will be very hard to stay alive with no bandages/rags as they are hard to get with the current hit to bleed ratio.
Yep I have had this happen
I like the new re-spawn for zeds, but they are doing what rocket didn't want to happen appear out of no were right in front of you. Plus they do to many bleed hits, spend to much of the game bandaging.
One thing I did find the forested area north of Kamenka by the area where the road does a Z left hand side of road facing north. that area of the forest got very laggy, logged out due to lag then later logged back into same area different server and the lag was still there and I went from rain to sun so weather wasn't the issue
