After killing some zombies in a row, they are respawning almost instandly behind me. Sometimes I think they even respawn on a bigger quantity than they were before i killed them. Thought this bugg was fixed before, but now it seems to be back.

I do like the zombie re spawn, but you it seams that once you kill one its just a zombie spawn fest. The game feels like for every one you kill you must have more to come in. Even with a silent axe kill you get zombies spawn in and come after you so the game dynamic is not correct. It is set at kill one zed you must get more regardless of the way you took them out. And you can see them spawn in front of you.
Experienced same particularly noticeable in Novy Sobor/Stary Sobor area 7/8/2014. Prior to the zombie respawn there was a noticeable drop in game performance. cannot confirm if this is server or client side.
Zombies are seemingly multiplying every X seconds until the player is overwhelmed.
I don't see this as a bug. I see this as a natural progression in a Zombie Survival game. There is supposed to be threats from zombies. There are supposed to be moments where, if you made the wrong choice, a player will get overwhelmed by zombies. I personally like the added zombies and it is only because of the way the game is played are they a frustration or annoyance. When Zombies and spawns are increased 5x's, at least, we'll need to change our play style and be accustomed to the increased number and spawns.
I disagree with the above reporter. If they want to make more of a challenge, they should find another way as spawning zombies like that is a very cheap tactic. I think a fun part of the game is having the players be more of a threat than the zombies anyway; but that's just my opinion. I have noticed that shooting a loud gun, tends to draw (or spawn) more zombies; which I do like because it makes sense. But I don't like it when I'm melee-ing a few zombies and then a few more spawn behind me.
Since the last update the zombie spawns and the intro of the navmesh with the zombies have made it super hard starting a new character. This also makes people who have just bought the game and are starting out less likely to keep playing because they can't get away from a zombie. The zombies shouldn't follow you for miles and it makes it even worse if you don't have any weapon. I don't mind the amount of the zombies but they shouldn't be so relentless. This is also compounded by the fact with melee weapons they are too hard to hit. I agree with the fact that the zombies aren't the real threat in this game but also killing and running from npc's aren't fun either. I always get killed by either stairs or players. I don't mind getting killed by players that is the challenge for me. if you play this game to kill zombies then you should play something else; we want to have fun and not be hunted down for miles from zombies spawning in everywhere. even in the arma mod it wasn't this bad.
Agree with Murray and Synthraxis.
Simply having a zombie spawn instantly at the death of a zombie is a cheap way of making the PvE aspect difficult.
A better solution would be more zombies and a realistic AI perception
Zombies are currently omniscient and always know where the players are just from hearing some footsteps or a gunshot from hundreds of meters away. They don't need a visual to know where you are.
Also, the game kind of lacks a zombie apocalypse feel as pertains to the melee weapons you can actually use against zombies. Except for the axes and maybe the machete, all melee weapons are pretty much useless. I don't think that can be the point of the game.
Rapid respawn can be a serious problem when the servers are frequently restarting. I chopped up several zeds with an ax, only to be greeted with, "No message received in XX seconds." When I got back onto the server, the zeds were waiting for me and they were pretty agitated. They mauled the hell out of my character and I was powerless to defend myself for, what seemed like, several excruciating minutes. We get a time-out when we die; the minimum time-out for a zed should be at least five minutes. Anyone lingering in a "kill area" for more than five minutes deserves to be overrun with the newly re-animated dead. Please note that this is not a commentary on the quantity of zeds; the more the merrier (so long as we do not turn this game into "Left For Dead." I already have that title in my library.) Of course, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if we had a bit more stability with the servers.

Oh so true.
