I have had this problem for the last 2 mouths and I feel the devs aren't that interested at the moment as I have posted it and seen others with the same problem posting too. I find it has to do with "field of view" setting for me. With it at its very lowest setting I can play ok without a crash. When I start to make it any higher that is when I start getting the crashes. The crash will happen at random times, but the larger the field of view the quicker it happens. It would be nice of them to sort it out as it is hard to fight the zeds when your field of view is narrow. I like to have my field of view about 1/4 of the way up the bar, but can't because of the crash. As it usually happens at the worst time when fighting a zed. By the time you are out of the game you are either dead or royally F***ed and its no fault of yours.

This happened to me all the time. But it stopped in .46, so I don't know if it was something I did or something in the update.
*Edit This was really annoying when it happened while zombies are attacking! Having to force quit while zombies are hitting me has made me loose characters.

yeaa they told me 10 days ago that they try fix but nothing, 10 days i write on this feebback like retard and nothing,this is geting more fustration for me bicouse i try last night on new update 48 and nothing,just crash after 3 minutes play :s

It really kills the game experience for me. Also, if this is something that cant be fixed at the moment. Just advise us. knowing that nothing can be done about this will save me time. Leaving us hanging with no news is most certainly going to get me to uninstall and be upset. If it's my video card.. I'll wait for a patch or get another one.

When reporting a crash you need to upload the files from
C:/Users/<Name>/AppData/Local/DayZ/

Pack the files into a .rar file - if the RAR is smaller than 5000KB, you can attach it here. If it's larger, please upload it to a file sharing website and link it here.

I've heard that using the FLUSH command can restore video when this happens.

R834, how are we supposed to use the 'FLUSH' command in game if we're not able to actually boot the start up screen?

If you open the Start Menu, type

%localappdata%/DayZ

into the search box and press Enter it should open the right folder.
