Still does not appear to be fixed as of the latest Devbranch version (5 January 2017).
May 10 2016
Good idea. But, first, they need to fix the issue of infantry walking through solid objects like the goddamn poltergeist.
Great idea.
Voted-up. Would be cool to have. Just imagine fast-roping soldiers onto a roof.
This may effect other states (such as danger, safe, hurt, as well), not just "dead", with the setmimics not being applied when they should be called for.
Not sure if serious...
It would be better than opening doors using mind control.
Oooh, I like that PiP! Only problem is that shadows aren't rendered in PiP at the moment, so the graphics look like rubbish when viewed through PiP. It seems that BIS is just spending their time fixing minute bugs, that the big game-breaking things are left behind.
Maybe have them disabled by default and only in the game via modules? I agree there's way too many damn snakes. I'm tired of these damn snakes on my damn island!
Not even Flight Simulator X, freaking Take On Helicopters had interactive interiors!
BIS has said that there's news about an expansion coming soon later this year. Hopefully females are in it!
Kelvara, women are in the military, and there are female civilians in war zones.
Normal map issue. They forgot to create a normal map for the AAF blokes.
Have the screen go blurry and have the pilot thrown up in the air, with the parachute automatically deploying after a few seconds. And an ejection seat sound effect as well.
While we're on the subject, vegetation in general should change with the seasons.
InstaGoat, other countries don't wear flags as well. North Korean soldiers don't wear flags on their uniforms, for example.
Dr. Death, no, they usually don't (unless they're MARSOC). USMC doesn't like embroidered patches like the U.S. Army does.
See here (no flags): http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/US-marines.jpg
Voted up, flags would be nice. Should be very extremely easy to do, even for BIS. I like the second picture. The flag should be above the CSAT logo, although a funny thing is that the U.S. Army wore the flag below unit patches back when they wore the BDU/DCU.
By the way, what section of the Geneva Conventions state that flags are required? For example, U.S. Marines don't wear flags and the USA is a signatory to the Geneva Conventions.
Also, pretty much every country has ratified at least part of the Geneva Conventions.
Good idea! They should also be able to fire small arms while they're turned out, also should be affected by splash damage from H.E./fragmentation. Seems that embarked personnel are completely oblivious to splash damage.
Agreed, there should be separate categories for masks, glasses, scarves, and the like. Maybe even helmets too.
Exactly. In some cases, suppressors on sidearms can reduce recoil (I think). A fully-kitted-up weapon should have some recoil reduction.

Same here, JoJo. I'm tired of having my helo go up in flames 'cause the rotor clipped something.
This is how it is in real-life.
Indeed. I've heard in VBS2, ranks are different for each faction. Should be that way in ARMA 3.
That picture with the tanker surrounded by green glow. Immersion. So much immersion!

It would be cool, but way too much work.
Should be possible with PhysX, but we have so many tickets regarding this issue.

You could put it into a container and seal it, completely invisible to the outside. These sticks last for several hours (much longer than the average ARMA mission).

Agreed. If shooting from vehicles is implemented, maybe artillery crew can shoot from static defenses.
Disabling PiP in video options increases FPS.
Thanks, Drebin!
Most helos don't have ejection seats, thus you can't eject. You could jump out, but you'd either fall to your death or be chopped up by the rotor blades.
I agree. ARMA 1 and ARMA 2 mods had this feature.

I noticed this as well when playing the shoothouse challenges.
That would be a great idea!
Also, fonts appear distorted at certain interface sizes.
Good idea! There should be an option to exit at the rear of the helo as well.
This is the way it is in real-life.
This was present in ARMA 2 as well. Vehicular occupants would still move around after death.

Agreed. In fact, a complete TAWS/EGPWS suite should be added for aircraft.
Keep "Combat Lifesaver" for BLUFOR/NATO, but use "Medic" for OFPOR.
AD2001: The regular, standard infantry are U.S. Army. I'm not sure about the divers, though. They all speak American accents, so it's hard to determine.
Combat Lifesaver is a U.S. Army term (the regular infantry units in ARMA 3 are U.S. Army).
However, "Medic" would still be a better term. I don't know why they changed it.

This is already in game: try custom control preset "ARMA 3 Alternate" or "Temporary Optic".
I did it on 3500-9000 meters, probably appears at lower altitudes as well.
Probably has more to do with view distance than altitude though. If your altitude is higher than your maximum draw distance, stars will appear.
Good idea. Don't forget "Player as X/Y" as well!
Convoys have always been pretty bad in RV engine. However, VBS seems to have nearly perfect convoy handling.
Also can't throw objects as well; not sure if intentional.
Thanks, Guts. Better late than never!
.........and why?
If it can do it in real-life, then upvoted.
There's always one guy who votes everything down for fun.
Confirmed.

What flags? The only BLUFOR units with USA flags are the pilots. Everybody else has them missing (except for INDEPENDENT).
OPFOR has missing flag patches as well. Why were they removed?
I agree. Drills for accuracy would be nice!
There were female voices in "ARMA 1" and "Operation Arrowhead". However, the "female" voice in "ARMA 3" is just a very high-pitched man's voice. Though, I'd like to see female characters in-game.
