The AI is making great use of this "tactic" They'll lay down and their gun will clip through the wall, somehow allowing them also to see through the wall and engage targets.
Was going to make a seperate post about this but The main problem is the clipping and the AI is just a symptom.
huh, didnt come up in my search.
Yeah it looks like a fast-forward jog. Needs longer steps for running and sprinting.
there are AI difficulty options in the game options. have you played around with them yet?
Also, the light from the fire should reach farther away on the ground and should move and flicker.
just disable the preset, the xbox controller should move to the upper list, then you can bind the keys.
please search before making a new report in case someone else already posted the same thing.
Sounds cool in theory but how to you find the direction of the tower way over yonder when you're zoomed in looking at the compass?

NATO 5.56 rounds can go throw wather for 30/40 meters without change direction.. it's projected for that..
I don't know where you get your info but a snow drift will stop a bullet in a couple feet unless it's a FMJ Bullet which are illegal for use in war.
Water will slow a regular bullet to non lethal speeds way way sooner than 40-50 meters. I'd feel perfectly safe behind 5 feet of water. No way a bullet will go through that.
I'm assuming he means water unless wather is a guy and he stops bullets by waving...
Dont make us all have to render the grass. If a server owner wants to set the grass drawdistance for PVP or because he likes to make my GPU work then thats up to him.
You can change the binds, just disable the preset first.
obishaun someone posted a bug that E is not bindable to collective.
I use analog and it's much better than arma 2, still not up to snuff tho. Feels like arcade and looks even stupider. Totally kills the whole badass feeling of helicopters.
use C to toggle, SHIFT is for sprint
Yes this carried over from ArmA 2 and results in excessive wear on the prone key as I punch it like a madman everytime this happens.
Unguided rockets aren't known for accuracy. IMO the speed seems good too.
you set this at extreme priority? If it's so important then make a warfare mission.
Yeah I understand that, I always thought it would reduce muzzle velocity as well but apparently I was wrong.
casings also fly out the side. I dont know anything about caseless ammo, perhaps chain links still fly out, but even then, it's definately casings flying out of the gun when caseless ammo is used.
no problem on i5-2500k and gtx570 high/very high and postprocess off
Yeah takes too long to slowly turn the wheel. This is why I wish mouse steering would be fixed becasue then i could have analog control over steering.
Ones you've already overshot a turn, then you've turned too much but have to slowly turn back again. Driver should be able to straighten the wheels in ~1 second as in real.
If you're never going to shoot anyone underwater then why are you worried about the effect on hardware? Yeah there are more important things but still. Something ought to happen.
You're right. Still the first one though.
1970 is this one so duh its related and 2015 was made later, hence the later number...
Doesnt happen to me
Thanks for the personal insult Brecky. Unwarrented to say the least, nor was my comment hypocritical in the slightest. In fact, my comment was asking people to stop insulting people who held a certian opinion or point of view. Which obviously went right over your head as you continue to do so without adding the slightest bit of wisdom into the conversation.
Or am I hypocritical now for being off topic as well?
I understand why as a woman, you'd obviously want to play as a woman. I have my reasons that I stated why I don't think that's a good idea. Please try not to be overly defensive about it. I'm not attacking you, just weighing in with my opinions.
You would be forced to shoot at them however.
People who would like to see this really need to stop implying that people who are opposed are over-conservitave, old-fashioned, he-men who disrespect woman.
nope nope nope nope nope nope nope
Nothing against girls
Which is why I dont want to shoot at them
I also dont need girl voices
Dont want any retards in MP servers playing as a girl in her underwear
Yeah I crash hard sometimes, I get hurt but the heli hardy gets damaged. I crashed so hard my copilot died and I only had a orange engine..
As soon as somone is "killed" they seem to go completely limp. This means 90 percent of the people you shoot will just kind of crumple down into themselves.
No problem with a i5-2500k and gtx570 on high/very high and postprocess off.
I'd like it to stay the same because in ArmA 2 I usually wanted a different type of ammo than the default and I'd have to empty my gear and then pick up the new stuff.
They dont roll too easy, it's just too hard to steer the amount that you want.
I did not have to manually set anything, I just made used the preset controls for the Tir5. Doesn't work smooth for me but i like it.
For me the light source dissapeared as expected, however shooting out a single light caused all lights to go out instead of just the one that was hit.
Yup, was excited to jump out into the water and go for a swim..
helicopters don't normally taxi while touching the ground in real either, im not even sure if they can
using a lmg prone and only the first shot goes anywhere near where im aiming even when prone. I don't expect nor want cod or bf3 but the muzzle climb is way overkill.
Obviously i shoot in burst too but pretty soon im single shotting because yeah.
My gtx 570 was running at around 30% until I intalled the latest nvidia beta patch. (Was running latest stable driver)
GPU is purring along at over 90% now.
If you have a nvidia, get the latest patch, same for 600 series cards.
I'm going to go out on a limb here becasue I don't really know what I'm talking about but:
Arma 2 has used the mulithreading for AI pathfinding and some other AI related things. If these were used on cores 2-5 and the first core was the rest, then it would make sense that CPU would be bogged down at the first core and the rest hardly utlized.
I'm interested in seeing if the other cores show more load in a AI-heavy situation but where the player isnt in line of sight.
i5-2500k
gtx 570 superclocked
win7 x64
8GB DDR3
never shows over 50% GPU load, rarely over 40% and likes to settle in around 33%
cant see my CPU load without downloading something but it stays cooler than it would if it was under heavy load.
fps in the 20-40 range most of the time
used helicopter showcase to test.
Thanks, downloading now :)
no lag with i5-2500k and gtx570
high/very high settings and postprocess off
I got out after about a minute by pressing s key
My ai disembarked and then wouldnt get back in until i moved the vehicle off the bridge myself and then he would get in.
also can happen after grenade, reload, or switching weapons
too hard to double tap alt? Trivial indeed.
I'd like to steer with the mouse but it doesnt work good enough.
