Thanks for the work put into this Geez! Much appreciated
Thanks for the Update Geez! That explains the slow search, especially in the beginning, seeing how the first servers coming in are the ones farthest away.
Also matches with my own observation of the search results starting out very slow and then somewhat picking up speed later on.
also true if unit is UAV pilot(gunner) or remote controlling one
Oh yeah, I‘m sure every player is now sitting in the woods and listening to the bird sounds 🙄

Birds stop making sounds AS SOON AS A BULLET IS FIRED in 500m radius.
Thank you, I wasn't trying to be rude, I simply saw the original ticket was still in "unassigned" so wasn't sure if you had seen it.
I do recall that when I last used the vanilla launcher and it of course generated the Chinese servers first off, but I notice that all the server it was generating and listing were those where the ping was over 200 at least, maybe at a stretch 180.
Some countries would be Singapore, China, Japan etc, but I am based in the UK.
Could one reason be the how the servers are located based of Geography is just straight up broken? I've set ping limiters on but nothing would show up unless I unchecked it.
This of course won't solve the speed of the servers being found, but I feel this is something else that could contribute to the whole problem, if it is not isolated to just myself.

Would be nice to get some crafting mechanics like this..
Even though rubbing a can on the ground IRL would not result in any loss, in game it should be like 85% lost to reduce it being to easy.
Also, we appreciate the update on the situation. Wishing the team the best of luck on getting things solved!
I believe you could merge my ticket into this one too since it relates to the same issues.

Hello, we apologise for any inconveniences.
@Geez can you give us some idea of what the priority level of this issue is? According to the announcement in the forums it is not even on the list of items being looked at: https://forums.dayz.com/topic/254356-state-of-120-update/?tab=comments#comment-2483984
This is unfathomable to many of us who are losing players every day because of this. Some assurance that there is a path to resolving it along with an estimate of when it will be resolved would go a long way toward calming down the hysteria.
Thank you for the report.
The issue has been resolved for the third 1.20 hotfix.

Geez
https://feedback.bistudio.com/T170263 seems to be the hot ticket for that issue.
Hello operativo.
We are aware of the problem and it is being worked on. Changing priority here in the ticket will not change much as we are going through all the reported tickets and the priority is being sorted internally in our own system according to our own prioritisation.
Should be fixed on the current version.

Geez
Resolved for the second 1.20 hotfix.
Hello etwas.
This issue has been resolved for the second hotfix.
It is the same problem in this ticket:
https://feedback.bistudio.com/T170274
Due to the fact you havent been able to run the game and you did not run it at all, you should be eligible for refund through Steam. Please contact them so you can get your money back.
Yes, this does mean that your hardware is not sufficient and wont be able to run the game. Driver update unfortunately will not have an effect on this.
Higher priority ticket:

I am going to open a new ticket as critical priority now.
any chance for canVehicleCargo?
It seems like today's update 0.9.7.91 has fixed the issue.

Thanks Geez!
This problem has lasted for too long. The official should be alert, and players are losing
Here is proof of it happening again @Geez
@operativo Those are from 1.19...
I believe so. Does that mean that my computer is just too old? It is a Dell Inspiron 3520. Or is there a way I can make it work for my computer with new drivers or something? As far as the ram I'm not 100% sure how to fix that or if I even can on this thing. Don't know much about all that to be honest.
Players are also reporting this issue:
I haven't checked in forever (almost 2 years) but the regular car battery is like that also.
I haven't had much experience with the new sounds yet, but what I have experienced it felt like it was just a constant loop.
Further testing showed that the kill source is fine in the EEHitBy and in EEOnDamageCalculated methods.
Just EEKilled fails to return the correct entity in AnimalBase:
Thank you for your feedback.
Will forward this to the devs for consideration.
Should be resolved now.
