Fix seems te be working. I loaded a bunch of various mods to a server using condensed names, and loading in to the server as player - using "local mod" since the launcher can still not automatically load mods from the main game's workshop folder - I could enter the server without issue.

Since recent changes to these numbers, there seems to be a typo in airFriction of 7.62x54mmR (Bullet_764x54). Too many zeroes.

It's -0.0001, where it was probably meant to be -0.001.

-0.0001 = killing range (100 dmg) well over 5000 metres
-0.001 = killing range over 550 metres

For comparison in 1.11 killing range is ~500 m and in early 1.12 it was ~400 m.

The barbed wire damage to AI has been removed as there are underlying issues that caused problems with the feature and the issues will have to be fixed. Once we will fix the issues we plan to re-introduce the feature again.
Regarding to the animal bleeding feature, there is currently no information I could share.

Currently we are not aware of any bugs with gardening. However, the time until which the plants will spoil has been greatly reduced with the release of 1.12, therefore they may not last as long as they used to. (Please try planting the plants and stay within the area to periodically check on them).

Zombies were a threat in 1.11 especially when you encountered mobs of them when shooting at human players since they aggro to gunshots. The AI that I recommended were just a suggestion and they can probably test it out on the experimental servers to see if people like it or not, but I think that any new AI even if they are not vampires or werewolves would be a nice addition to the game.

Kind of hard to report a suspected cheater if all I can see on my black screen is "You are dead" after being 1 shot killed. It would be a lot more helpful if we are able to type some sort of chat command in the game to find out who or what we were killed by so as to report suspected cheaters a lot easier. Complaining to battle eye is pretty much useless since we do not know who we are killed by and the fact that they have not done anything to prevent aim bots or esp so far.

Sounds more like someone is harvesting your fences for materials. Either that or the server has messed up its persistence or economy files. Nothing like this happens on any of the servers I play on. (Both official and community).

This error occurs due to network timeouts. We suggest that you check your network for any packet losses, also possibly do a traceroute towards some of the server IP's.
Also, are you using wi-fi or wired connection?

  • We are looking into this, however we did not find any issues so far. The zombie senses (vision/hearing) have not been increased on our end, however, the crouch sprinting is pretty loud. It is suggested to sneak slowly around the zombies. We will check on the door opening sounds as well to be certain everything is in order.
  • As mentioned above, ranges of vision were not changed.
  • We are testing any issues related to zombies and their balance thoroughly on our end
  • The mod issue is currently our highest priority and hotfix will be pushed as soon as it is ready
  • Nothing to add to the broom point, unless you have encountered some bugs with the broom?
  • We are aware that the barbed wire damaging zombies being disabled is not an ideal situation, however, this has been intentional change for now and will possibly change for the future versions.
  • Regarding to hackers, BattlEye is solely responsible for detecting hacks and administrating any bans. In case you are aware of any hack sellers or have Steam ID's of specific players you suspect hacking, please forward the information to BE at https://www.battleye.com/contact/.
  • Easter eggs were only ment to be around on the experimental servers as a fun thing for Easter holidays. The eggs do not spawn on the stable.

Firearm shot audibility has been adjusted for pistols at 250 meters, SMGs and shotguns up to 800 meters, ARs up to 2000 meters, and big caliber rifles up to 3500 meters.

Kambiwobo is longer than 250 meters. So you could literally spawn near Kambi and not hear somebody get killed.
I just hope that this is an early placeholder (why even decide on such a low value), and it will get changed very very soon.

I don't believe so Jerry. Personally I didn't miss the point and for what I have read, others here haven't missed it either. No doubt that you are in your right to think that someone has missed the point but the change is so obvious that there isn't a problem with that here. Small, medium, big, very big, then sound related to size. Not logic in terms of what firearms are. Firearms make noise, a lot, even the smallest of them. The gap is not small, it is huge. Those changes are made just in the name of gameplay "balance". Balance taking account the size in this case. Not right, not realistic, not authentic, not DayZ. Why change it, push to stable and change it again?

Point still stands- keep it closer to reality. No unsuppressed firearm discharge will ever be completely inaudible below 1,000 meters. I’d say bump pistols up to the same level as the smg:s (same ammo!) shotguns twice that, AR:s to 2,500 and leave the biggies at 3,500 meters.

Nah, you guys missed the point. Big guns = louder, smaller guns = quieter (but not extreme), Bigger guns = even louder.
Seems logical enough to me, but maybe not as extreme as 1.12.

So, if I understand Geez' reply correctly, they want to promote the use of smaller caliber firearms by making their noise stealthy...... isn't that what suppressors are for? And in a zombie apocalypse, you don't exactly have the luxury to pick and chose weapon, you make do with what you find. "Oh no, the gun makes a noise"... well too bad. Use it or ditch it.

Found this, an interesting read on the subject. Probably not feasible to put all these factors into the calculation of how long gunshots are heard in-game (I can only imagine the effect on server performance...), but nevertheless an interesting read:

Indeed. Please keep the realism and rather expand upon it. You should be able to make decisions based on realism as much as possible as opposed to learning some "in-game lore" of how different systems perform in the name of balancing.
