After spending many hours gathering resources and building a base, sections of fences simply disappear seemingly at random within days of construction.
Older sections remain standing unaffected while new sections are failing (new sections built before 1.12 upgrade) so it's not just a 1.12 problem.
As a test of 1.12 I built several new fences with and without gates and checked them regularly over a few days by using TAB to view the components and even adding and moving planks and nails to register interaction.
Seemingly at random wall sections disappear while I am logged out. These could be top, bottom or entire wall sections and gate sections. Upright posts seem to remain intact in all cases.
One gate disappeared entirely dropping the lock and barb wire to the ground.
Unfortunately nails and planks do not drop to the ground but disappear.

Steps To Reproduce
Build a fence or gate, play the game for several hours, return to the base and log off. Return to the game from time to time over the next few days playing as normal and observe the decay of a perfectly sound wall.
Doesn't matter if log off in the base or far from it.
I also observe numerous other bases in similar breakdown during my travels in the game.
Additional Information
These are not from raids as loot has not been removed or moved.

Sounds more like someone is harvesting your fences for materials. Either that or the server has messed up its persistence or economy files. Nothing like this happens on any of the servers I play on. (Both official and community).
