you got a new char, disconnect asap, try a different server and go back. with some luck you got your old one back.

you waited for people to be in the server to join? that was a big mistake, wait for the server to connect with the hive or you got a new char. you can join a server right after serverstart but you will be in the lobby not on the server. this issue is already hundred time in the feedback tracker and a known issue.

its a known steam issue not BI. your router was flooded by UDP requests.

you report a feedback about things what everybody know that this subject will be changed. loot economy will completely redone, so they will bring more stuff which will be more rare (over every server in the world only 1000 night-visions are available to find).

friend and i noticed this the last 2 days on experimental 0.51. server crashed and after login we lost the last 15-20 minutes.

the strange thing was my game crashed on monday and my friend loged out normal. after the next login i was at my last position and he lost the last 30 minutes (gear item/stats). yesterday i run to him and the server crashed, after login my player was back to the place i logged in and my friend got the same issue.

all this was happened on de 0-5

can confirm, (huge damage on get out to my team mate) have video for proof if necessary.

he did not died but all gear was ruined and he was bleeding.

explain where you played and when do you log in again? there are multiple issues known. dont relog direct after server restart, wait some minutes. dont join another hive-system like 1st only 1st/3rd or private.

the message is a bug for every one but if you loose your char you have some problems. don't join a fresh starting server, wait some minutes. log out on safety places. check your internet connection.

you should get a message "rapidly cooling off" but this never happens (without to dive into water)

i was naked and more then 10 minutes overheating. it was 8pm night. the only thing for cooling down was a lake i dive in, after that all things worked normal.

4 of my players died for 5 mins from a hacker. he used something with flying, he was above us and killed us all.

yeah i found the same workaround as Musicman, this helps on all stuff. Another bug in the new 0.50 is many stuff is half or complete in the ground of the floor and not visible.

its already known by devs, because the system is under rewrite. Later you can open cans with all items but with greater loss.

@iInsanityx09 i think you have other problems, i dont know your problem. my answer is no solution for you.

i think you and your mate have grater problems as my answer. many of my players can reproduce my steps. i dont know which servers you play but look out for a warning message that the server is not connected with the hive.

pls try the official servers and test if you got wiped again.

it happens when you log in to early where the hive is not connected and every player in the list will be fresh spawn. if you see "test 123" it will be a new spawn. you can get your old stuff back if you log out ASAP and relog on another hive (1st or 3rd) and relog back to your server.
