We are at the very beginning of alpha and have to overcome a number of horrendous game-breaking bugs. The way loot spawns at the moment is nothing short of a placeholder. New game mechanics such as globally limited items, scripted events and more will likely enter DayZ along with a great number of new items and so starting to tweak the amount of loot spawning is in my eyes a waste of time at this point until all the unknowns have been determined.

I can confirm this with my GTX 780 Ti. Only 2048MB of my 3072MB are being recognized by the game. As long as you are not playing in 4K resolutions or similar no detrimental effect to performance is to be expected from this.

The receiving screen for me take 5 seconds tops. I strongly disagree with the premise that a spawn protection is warranted. If you get attacked upon spawning in you have failed to find a safe spot to log out. This should be considered part of the game mechanic to survive and be smart about the way you move around in the game world.

This is low priority at best. Not all loot places have even been enabled and new items will be added in as well along with new mechanics (scripted events, global quantity limited items, etc) that all will have an impact on the current loot system. So what we all see now is just a big fat placeholder and nothing that should be tweaked in terms of quantity before the full extent of (incoming) changes is realized/understood.

All this was to be expected and is not a big deal.

Corrective action will be taken in whatever shape. But since we are at the very beginning of Alpha I doubt there is enough data collected to algorithmically identify people such as combat loggers, server hoppers et cetera.

As for those that lock down a server and use it as a safe haven to gear up I would assume simply having all servers sent their public/private status to the central hive would be enough to exclude those from the whitelist/make characters on those servers not sync with the main hive.

That doesn't take away from the hilarity and utter stupidity of people that actually run around on a locked and empty server and collect loot all day to possibly have a big showdown on a proper server later that they will most likely lose because they otherwise suck at the game. Its the same old story...

edit: Oh I just took the time to properly read the ticket. Well I guess reporting such behavior is a good first step and I am sure they will be dealt with according to the severity of their own actions.

Not having any other channels has a number of reasons. For one it greatly helps immersion, avoids griefing (a lesson learned from the mod) while laying the ground work for things such as in-game remote communication beyond direct communications range facilitated by radios and walkie-talkies.

This issue still exists. Picking up and dragging items from the ground to your inventory and then using the mouse wheel while still holding the item in your hand does not work. I find it a chore having to scroll to the right location in your inventory and then pick up the item.

Lost a battery to this. Mostly they just appear on the ground after a while but when doing it in front of the camo building in Kabanino the item (battery) never appeared.

Shouldn't increasing the FOV simply add more visibility to the edges of the screen? Why is it zooming out in the first place? Humans have an almost 180° Field-of-View without the fish-eye-aspect of vision. So whats going on here?

Running on a dual screen setup and I can confirm that the cursor moves to the second screen. But clicking outside the primary monitor (read: where the game us running) bounds seems only to be possible when you work with systems that require a mouse cursor such as the inventory. As soon as you close those clicking outside of the monitor bounds is not possible anymore or at least does not make you loose focus on DayZ or worse would minimize the game.
Still I would like the mouse cursor to be locked to the main screen and possibly make it an option.

Seriously I dont think this is an AMD specific issue. I have a GTX 780 TI and run the 3D interface/monitor resolution at 1080p and I get fps of about 30 when in larger cities. I would definitely expect more! Also I monitored my GPU/CPU load and it seems DayZ is making good use of my 4 cores (~ 25% use across all cores) while my GPU was usually maxed out.
Specs are:
i7-4770k@stock
GTX 780 TI OC
16GB DDR3-2166
2xSAMSUNG 840 PRO 256GB RAID0
Attached my DxDiag.

@G-wok: Specify smooth as butter in terms of fps when in a larger city. Also what is your resolution?

I actually do agree seeing the reality as it is. Often enough you have to traverse long stretches of territory while really only going in a straight line and most people use some form of a autowalk system either physical or virtual. So I would opt for a autowalk and maybe even take this a step further where you can auto-follow a person.

I agree but it has to be very VERY carefully balanced. Yesterday I had a M4 under one of the bunks of a barracks. I could not for the life of me get it to appear in my vicinity window. But at the same time I could target it and detach some of its components. So I guess at least make vicinity range on par with targeting range.

I can confirm that this issue is existing though it is not reproducible for every killed survivor. Of the say 5 we killed yesterday there was one where his body remained. This is not to say that this is not a real issue. Quite the contrary! Please fix it soon. Cheers!

We will never agree on a solution that works for both sides so I would suggest to make it an option you can filter for in the server browser. Basically what we have with the mod where both 1P and 3P exist side by side. And honestly if pressed to decide between the two I honestly couldn't because I like both variants as long as the playing field is level.

I fear that particular ladder glitch is part of a much bigger picture and is based on how you interact with objects in the world. So I strongly vote for fixing this but at the same time would ask everybody to be patient because I am fairly certain this ones going to take a while.

As http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=414#c6478 put it you have to keep in mind that while DayZ/Rocket is striving for realism it is not feasible to simply apply real world parameters to DayZ such as the ability or inability of the human digestive system to cope with 8 cans of beans at once. You have to take the medium of presentation ("video game") into account that people use to consume this experience. That said the part thats realistic about DayZ's dietary system is...well the fact that there is one. But the actual balancing needs to fit the presentational medium which encompasses the amount of time a player can reasonably spent with the game along with other parameters.

To that end I think the frequency with which you have to hydrate your body is fine but the food consumption rate might needs some looking at. It does seem to be a tad high. I would opt for reducing the amount of food you are able to find and decrease the rate at which you have to eat. That would mean you'd be required to search longer for food but once you find some/stock up on it you can go for your next "mission".

Also there should be more to starvation or similar stages than just a simple drop in blood/health levels. It should be associated with other adverse effects such as walking/moving slower, difficulties in maintaining a stable posture when aiming, et cetera.

I think rocket mentioned a large set of data is going to be collected and then server hoppers (gaining advantage in combat/hopping for loot) are going to be identified and dealt with accordingly. I would assume the devs are aware and a solution will be implemented at some point. In the meantime maybe do implement a flat timer anywhere between 3 and 10 minutes. Maybe let it increase for every time you drop out of a particular server within a specified time window.

I can confirm this. So far I have only met zombies that were standing in one place instead of "roaming"/loitering/simply walking around in random patterns. I hope that is something that will be looked at at a later stage otherwise I fear Zeds will be a very boring occurrence imho. Next time I spot it I will make sure to record it.
