for the zombies despawn is intented, thats at least what rocket said in one of the streams (to safe server performance i guess)... but im sure it shouldn't be the case for other players

Yes i guess for the zombies to go is ok but for players also needs to be fixed

i can confirm, it happens indoor and outdoor with both players and Zeds.

When i shoot someone inside the store and went to the body to loot, the body just dissapeard into the ground... i dont know if it falled down under the market or if it just dissapeard?

This happens probably, if a player uses the Exit exploit. If you just exit the game, when you are dead, your body will disappear and you will spawn alive with all your gear, when you join a server again.

Not sure I killed a My pal playing about (lol) his body went away before i could get his stuff he was still in game.

Seems like the player's bodies disappear whe they exit the server or respawn, maybe. But it might also just disappear :p

Probably same issue as mentioned in 0002478, player/zobmie body seems to dissapear when it respawns and/or exits the game.

player bodies were persisting correctly until 0.30.113860, since this patch they disappear as rapidly as zeds'

I can confirm that this issue is existing though it is not reproducible for every killed survivor. Of the say 5 we killed yesterday there was one where his body remained. This is not to say that this is not a real issue. Quite the contrary! Please fix it soon. Cheers!

Its not just people hitting exit (But I'm sure that there are a lot of them) bodies just do not stick around at all.

The Bodies disappear too if the dead player push "restart". Its not only if they leave the server.
Game breaking bug.

This is real, bodies do disappear after death leaving you unable to loot them.

My experiences:

When dead, you click "Respawn" and nothing happens. It comes up with "Testing 1 2 3" and "Please Wait..." but you don't respawn.

This then forces players to hit "Exit" and therefore their bodies disappearing.

Really could do with this being patched as valuable consumables are just vanishing into the ether rather than into my grubby hands!

I can confirm it is NOT from players ALT+F4'n.

This is a real problem and I can't see how this isn't acknowledged yet.

Dissapering player bodies is really annoying to that point i stopped playing because of this.

Getting attacked by 5 other ppl and u kill them then u got nothing from it cuz all bodies are gone ;[

We now got a squad where one player is all naked.
So she takes all stuff as fast as she can to make loot keeps.
Sadly, mostly all ruined.

I played with a friend, he killed me and I exited and rejoined. I had all my gear and he got nothing.

Usually the bodies glide across the ground for a little and then just completely disappear, this happens for my friend and myself.

Any bodies I've managed to actually access before they disappear, all the gear is worthless anyways, as it all becomes ruined instantly for some reason?

The player bodies disappears because the person has gone on "Exit" instead of "respawn" when they die. It's essentially post-combat-logging.

It depends on where you shoot the guy if ya shoot the head the headgear becomes ruined. Body legs back ect

Yep, same thing for me. Kinda makes killing people utterly pointless right now - it has no benefit to the attacker.

zombies always go away and sometimes when you kill one disappears and you lose everything he had

Work-Around

DO NOT "exit" the server to respawn. If you can "respawn" successfully without clicking "exit" your body will remain and you can loot it until server restart.
When you click exit your body will disappear, If you cannto respawn, your only hope is to get a friend to dump your gear on the ground and then relog to get back in.

Still happens. Killed someone in NE airfield, his body drops to the ground. Then just disappears.

I have the same problem you walk up to them and they disappear or they fall though the floor

This issue should be fixed in current stable steam version number: 0.30.114008
