I attempted to take the steps that you provided. When I press Shift + Num - and enter "frame" nothing appears to happen. I have attempted to take the steps in multiplayer, singleplayer and editor. In the meantime here are the remaining rpt files and the mdmp file you requested.

This is an existing problem according to me. This disturbs me very much! The enemy can easily shoot down me, but I do not see him! I solved this problem in such a way that I put the quality of the Terrain onto low and there is not grass so.
This is not a solution however!
If someone still have some doubts its ruining gameplay and realism, try to play this mission (and try to nod die beacuse of "shooting grass"

Enemy have only helmet above grass (even half of it) and he still sees you perfectly, while you cannot see them). Its custom map, but it happen on vanilla AFTER YOU BEING DETECTED. There is no way to hide back in grass after enemy detect you - he will allways see you.
So, I have done some looking around, and found that there is always a steam authentication failure when trying to join a headless client to a local client over the internet, even when on the same network, which undermines half of the point in my opinion. I'm also not planning on buying a second copy of ArmA, so there is a bit of a hiccup. The whole system works extremely well, except for this.

But isnt that 1900m for manual FCS, and you are able to get higher numbers using AUTO CORRECTION (T) ? Try to mark some vehicle at 3000M and check if round will hit the target. Sorry about writing about terrain, bu i couldnt resist after seeing that photo. Its one of "need fix asap" thing.

It just gives me the error message then closes down.

I found the issue! At first i found it via Launcher. So did all the recommended TS including safemod/resetting settings.
I'm sad to ask if you can please keep this open. After playing again for a day or so, and restarting and what not, the issue has returned. I'm not sure if Windows is corrupting the game or what. This is not MOD related as i have no added or modified any MODs other then what STEAM does unless there is a problem there. I am just asking for some help to troubleshoot the issue.

according to your additional informations I guess you are using mods while experiencing this issue?
Also just encountered this crash when I reverted to the regular game (opted out of beta and replaced my arma3.exe with original)
I have had similar crashes pre-patch but maybe it will help you...

I did all the stuff as instructed above.
I did it on my local KOTH Tanoa server with my character standing in the spawn area.

The question in the ticket-of-range shot. You cannot select the next higher range 1900m. There is no question of drawing the landscape. Question on the schedule was in another ticket.
On a modern tank range must be greater than.
In the picture you can see the building of 3000 metres, but target sight can not, for accurate shots.

I got a new error message of error hang, I'm linking a drop box link with a more organized and complete list of error reports and I will send more as I get more crashes. I also have video of the error hang crash if necessary, it seems to happen when I'm in a jet more then usual.
And how people can shoot to enemy vehicle, WHICH IS CLEAR VISIBLE throught the hill (like on screenshot) and round land on invisible ground? How player suppose to destroy targets behind the hill, when he dont know there is hill?! Please fix the terrain over 500M beacuse this is ridiculus rendering, not used in any other game, and making gameplay much harder, beacuse:
- GAME IS NOT OPTIMALISED and this is not gonna change in next 5 years, so player cannot use ULTRA terain details (to limit the bug to further distance only)
- Player see the target and cant take it down, this misinformation lead to waste of ammo. Glitches start on 500M!

could you please manually gather Launcher logs and upload them: http://arma.jiripolasek.com/howtos.html ? I believe that the issue is not directly caused by corrupted settings, but some other component on your system that prevents the processing of configuration files.

we located the issue (thanks to Zaf from your unit). The problem is that your unit (https://units.arma3.com/unit/armaph) is missing a logo, and in one point that causes a crash.
I've already send a message to Zaf regrading the unit emblem. Re-uploading it should fix the issue for you and everyone else in your unit.

Too bad that there is still no working sound occlusion when standing behind a building or hill and firefight nearby can be heard muffled.

Also I am running vanilla, I have mods but not using them. My next step is gonna try to update my motherboard, but I doubt that will fix it.
