Hello,
we are sorry you are experiencing issues with our game.
Are you running any mods? If so please try to disable them. Should the problem occur again, please export your game log files from the launcher (again, without any mod).
Steps on how to export logs from ARMA 3 Launcher:
- Start ARMA 3 Launcher
- Click Options menu
- Drop down menu will appear
- Select: Prepare Arma Troubleshooting error and save those files
- A notification will pop up with the name of the generated file
Please note that it might take some time for files to collect.
Attach the generated files to the ticket. If the files are too big please use some free file sharing service.
Hello,
sorry for the confusion, I used a bad steps on how to obtain the Launcher logs. It should be now like this
- Start ARMA 3 Launcher
- Click Options menu
- Export Launcher logs to desktop
Hello,
sorry for not replying for a while, we are looking into the issue.
Could you please look for crashdump files manually? Crashdump (mdmp + rpt + bidmp) files should be located in this directory:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Arma 3
Thank you
Hello,
could you please try to switch to the development branch on the Steam and run that version of the game with -phaseLog parameter?
Running the Dev branch with this parameter will generate additional info in the rpt. Once you do this and the game crashes, please upload the rpt file here.
Thank you
Hello,
its quite easy, here's how.
Steam > rightclick - Arma 3 > Properties > Betas tab > Select development in the combo box (NONE - ... is selected by default, that's the stable version)
You can switch between dev and Stable branch as much as you like but note that these versions are different are some data might have to be redownloaded even if you switch to branch that you have already used.
ok i've have change the version and here is the report when i try to launch the game
and here the log of the launcherUnfortunately it seems that you've started the game without the -phaseLog parameter. Could you please run the game with this parameter and then send the logs? Thank you
Unfortunately you need to use the -phaseLog parameter as without it, there is nothing we are able to get from the reports.
Do you know how to run the game with custom parameter or do you need a helping hand?
No need to worry about that :)
Now, this parameter is not in the launcher I'm afraid so we might need to try it out different way.
-Switch to Arma 3 [development] if you do not have it already (in Steam)
-Then again in Steam right-click the Arma 3 [development] - Properties
-Window will pop-up with a Set Launch Options
-New window will appear with a text field, type in -phaseLog and confirm
-Close the windows and launch Arma 3 [develpment]
Once the game crashes, create the Arma 3 Report like before and send those files
Hope this helps, if there is something unclear or need more help, feel free to ask :)
Sorry for not responding earlier I was away, I will check out what's new with the case and get back to you.
Something new has popped up.
Do you by any chance use a Unit/Squad/Clan tag? And if so, does it contain any special characters (/ \ ^ etc.)?
An update was released just recently, since you are asking about the progress I get it that it didn't help?
One thing comes to mind, similar error codes appeared recently linked to the profile and their settings.
Please try to go to your Documents
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\
You should see these folders "Arma 3" and "Arma 3 - Other Profiles" (second one might not be there which is fine also). Now take those folders and move them somewhere else (out of the Documents folder). Then try to start the game.
If it works, it might be possible your profile was causing the issue as it was somehow corrupt. If it doesn't work even after that it will rule out profile as a cause.
