CXN, that's exactly the issue I was talking about. Thanks for reproducing it for me, hopefully it'll be fixed soon. Cheers!

This might also happen with rocket launchers, but I'm not entirely sure.
Agreed. It should be different, varying on weather conditions.
You're welcome, Kol9yN! ;-)
Snow would be nice, actually functioning, and not just for show.
They do use hand grenades, although it's very rare, and they aren't very good at it. Up-voted.
Voted-up. Snakes opening doors is not a good thing.
Would be nice to have, upvoted.
Thanks kOepi! :-)
I think he might be referring to the pilot firing his sidearm out of the window. Such is possible with the Little Bird chopper.
Need more info. Are you referring to the pilot's sidearm or the chopper's mounted weapons?
Jlaporte, I like your idea!
While the transparency may be accurate for Stratis, it may not be for other locales, which may present a challenge for island-makers.
Thank you, Deadfast. Cheers! :-)
Indeed, tyl3r. Indeed! :-)
XSnipa, good point.
Thanks, Scarecrow.
Thanks for all the up-votes, guys. Hopefully this gets implemented into the game.
Ender, like we said earlier, have shadows only show up on the highest setting. We're not suggesting they make it mandatory; that would be just silly.
Thanks, Nod. :-)
Thanks, Nod! My sentiments exactly.
Thanks, Nod! :-)
Like I said, only have shadows appear on RTT for the highest setting. and have all other settings use the current method.
That way, people with weaker machines can still play the game, and people with more powerful rigs can play on the highest setting.
Alex72: I understand your concern. Therefore, if shadows are added for RTT, it should only be for the highest "PiP" setting in the video options.
Keragon.
Thanks, mate! Cheers! :-)
Interesting idea. How about an action that shows up on low walls, in the scroll menu? Like with house doors and embarking on vehicles?
Redstone, it's in the area that is shown in black in the editor. Outside the mapped boundaries.
Got it: Stratis Island, grid square 94991, depth -113 meters below sea level.
Supported. IIRC, ARMA 1 had different icons for vehicles as well.
Supported. Why take the unnecessary time-wasting move of putting your primary weapon on your back, when you just let it hang on a sling in front of you? Up-voted!
Thanks, Kid! :-)
They sure are, Kid. :-)
LOL, Bachmann. Nice one. ;-)
You're right, you're right. :-)
Kid, I burst out laughing when I saw your comment. I can't believe I didn't notice that.
Agreed, Centipede. I think I may have a request ticket for that on here as well.
Thanks for the support, guys! :-)
Thanks, Cranberry! :-)
Thanks, Silver! ;-)
Agreed Kol9yN, "GTA IV" did falling animations well.
Thanks for all the up-votes, guys! Hopefully this gets implemented.
Thanks, PvtBachmann!
Agreed. Same goes for rain. A game that does this perfectly is the original "Crysis" (2007). In that game, whenever it was raining, you could see water dripping down people, objects, ground, cars, etc.
Neokika, I agree. Thanks! :-)
I agree. I found it weird that whenever a wounded soldier is treated by a medic, his bloody clothes would be automatically clean again. I propose that once you are wounded, your clothes stay bloody. This would be more realistic, as there are no washing machines carried by soldiers.
Agreed. It was possible in ARMA 2 and ARMA 1 with mods, it should be in ARMA 3 from the start.
I voted up, although, you can just shoot him in the back of the head. However, a rifle-butt-type attack would be nice.
Kol9yN, with all due respect, Alpha stage is the perfect time to request these things, not when the game is gold and released. :-)
TTc30, they can?
EDIT: They can be shot and blown up, but grenades have no factor. Explosions don't detonate them, but bullets do.
I shot them and they blew up, but after throwing two grenades, they didn't.
Well said, Flemming!
Also effects opening/closing hatches on guard towers.
Thanks, CSR! Upvoted!
Support. This is a good idea. "Splinter Cell" (2002), had a similar option.
IDF isn't in the game, although female characters would be nice to have.
I can confirm this as well. It does not save the freelook setting upon exit, so you have to set it everytime you start the game.
I can confirm this. I am using an NVIDIA GTX 680, made by Galaxy, with 2GB VRAM.
I have had the same problem as well.
Confirmed.
Good idea. It should be modular, though. For example, if you want to have a post-apocalyptic mission, you should be able to disable all lights.
Kol9yN, thank you! ;-)
I support this. "Fallout: New Vegas" had a mod that added light switches to buidlings. It was awesome.
Well said, Raven. That's a good idea.
Charred corpses would be perfect; there were some photographs from the First Gulf War that showed charred corpses in a car, you could see the teeth and jawbone.
It would add a level of realism and grittiness that would be just perfect for ARMA.
I agree. In OFP, bodies stayed in destroyed cars. It added a depth of realism.
As somebody who plays FSX, this would be good to have.
Upvoted. He gave his life, so we could play.
Also, smoke grenades still have the pin in when thrown.
Also, opening the window hatches on the guard towers makes no noise.
Explosions could use a bit of work and polish, I agree. The first "Call of Duty", from 2003, had pretty good effects, and that was from ten years ago.
Suggestion: If this were implemented, I recommend that going to aiming mode (ironsight/ACOG/RCO), automatically changes the mode from safe to fire.
That will decrease instances of the safety being on when a bad guy is in front of you.
I support this. ACE 2 had this, in that there was a firing mode called "SAFE", and it would not let you fire.
This will solve a lot of negligent discharge issues.
I agree. Two long-guns aren't that unrealistic. A lot of soldiers carry stockless breaching shotguns in addition to a primary carbine.
Agreed. There should be a way to "zero-in" grenade launcher sights.
For example, "America's Army 3" does this perfectly with its M320 sights.
I can confirm this. Smoke grenade is completely silent. In real life it would make a hissing sound.
Also, smoke grenade still has pin in it when thrown.
If jumping were included, there would have to be a way to disable bunnyhopping, such as a time delay between jumps. Nonetheless, I have voted up, simply because there are a few occasions where jumping will be useful.
