Yea you kinda said it yourself, players will just respawn until they spawn with whatever gear is the best. The thing is, this would be great for an RP server or whatever, but the vast majority of DayZ players would simply just dig for that initial advantage, there would be specific spawn kits which would just be better than others, and then everyone would go for those ones and suicide if they got anything else.

Yea I defintely agree, even with shotguns and SMGs particularly. People can be blasting shots like 1km from you and you often won't even hear it.

I'm not really sure if this is an issue but rather just how DayZ is. The difference between looking at a town with complex models and high object density vs an open field with trees will always show quite a bit FPS difference. Just a matter of loading more stuff in the scene.

I disagree personally. The inventory in dayz is very forgiving already, you can have a huge amount of slots very easily. And the hip pack is basically just an extra 6 slots for free ontop of all that.

I think its important to keep balance in mind for some things too though. For example you mentioned the utes island. In my opinion that would be a bad addition for Chernarus. It puts a lot more emphasis on the coast, it pushes more geared players to the coast and pushes the "end game" in the total wrong direction, right back to freshie towns. This is already a problem in vanilla with too many people hanging around the coast, especially with rify shipwreck being toxic now it already has become worse in that regard.

Hmmmm I wouldn't say that's true. They've been making changes to a lot of the optics recently. The PSO and Kashtan optics both got a complete rework and they look way higher quality. They also did the same with the MRS sight too. The model outside of the optic is whatever imo, it's mainly just the sight picture inside of the optic that needs work, which we know they can do because of the recent updates.

I partially agree and understand your point...But recoil defintely still needs tweaked imo, for the sake of balance but also realism. If you look at any combat footage IRL, you will very very rarely ever see a soldier shooting full auto, they are always shooting semi auto and those guns still do kick quite a lot. In DayZ it's the total opposite, the majority of the time all you will see is full auto because its just so easy to spray and hold that recoil down easily even up to like 100+ meters.

Yep, I've been saying this for a long time now. DayZ really really really needs a gunplay / PVP overhaul. I would actually say SQUAD is a good example, SQUAD is too overdone for what DayZ is, yes....but the style is good, high recoil, real sway, reticles that actually sway on the screen rather than being 100% pinned to the centre of the screen like they are in DayZ atm.

Our admins also tell us that it is not only when people get kicked. But also just when they log off...the entire server gets a message telling them that info. Constantly, when you have (for example) 95 slots, it gets quite ugly tbh...they defintely need to add an option to remove this

I would like to add...The birds stopping their sounds as soon as somebody shoots has been a thing for years, since the game released into 0.63 at minimum. WOBO only just covered it now but that doesn't mean its a new feature. I agree that its a bit janky, but it has never effected the game before so it really wont now imo.

Hey, just wanted to comment, this has been an issue in DayZ for years btw. Not in all scopes, but particularly the hunting scope for example. The exact same thing happens on PC too, it's just hardware related so it defintely happens on Xbox aswell as playstation. Hopefully they can optimise it a little in the future

In regards to the connection symbol, I would recommend to use an Ethernet cable if you don't already, or maybe consider upgrading to something a bit better. If the bad connection symbol is showing it's gonna be a problem on your end rather than the server.

Personally I see no reason why the FAL needs a suppressor. Those weapons are already extremely extremely powerful. And suppressors also are extremely powerful in DayZ...They are extremely quiet and have no drawbacks at all...combining the two is just a bad combination tbh. It's way too strong. It also just generally makes the game feel much less alive when half the server is running around with suppressors, people can be having a war right next to you and you wouldn't even know it was happening. I would defintely avoid this personally

Hmmm, not sure what you mean about the Tarkov system but I do agree that a new damage system / health system would be good...although in regards to the current system, hitting headshots at ranges like that is (almost) impossible. At 400m its doable yea, but extending out to 500, 600, 700m etc etc. When you land such an amazing shot and you are met with "23 damage" to a players health....that sucks so much man. The game should definitely reward shots like that, they take really insane amounts of skill, patience and luck. If everyone can run around knowing that sniper rifles will only tickle them once they are outside of the 280m uncon radius then you lose a lot of the tense atmosphere that DayZ can provide, especially at an area like NWAF...you should be scared for your life every second you are there xD

There needs to be a balance man. Ofcourse body armour protects you but it shouldn't protect you from 4 mosin shots, that just doesn't really make sense in any regard

Tbh the hacker situation on official servers wont be fixed mate. Its just too complex of an issue. They already have an anti cheat system in place, there isnt anything more they can do tbh. It's not something they can just stop from happening... Simple solution is to just play community servers, you will probably never see another hacker if you find a good server to play.

I just tested the exact ladder that you showed in your screenshot. I climbed it like 10 times and I did fall 1 time, the character basically just stepped off of the ladder and immediately fell back down the hole. The majority of the time it works fine but you will occasionally be able to reproduce this issue...Defintely needs to be fixed

Hmm okay that is strange. Personally I have never heard of this bug (and I play a LOT of dayz) ...it sounds like it could be something on your end rather than a game bug, maybe you have some kind of custom keybind for switching to desktop or some button on your keyboard you are hitting by mistake? Other than that I would recommend the standard "verify your game files and if that doesn't work, reinstall the game" procedure....usually this will fix like 90% of dayz issues (from a players perspective, I'm not a dev or anything)

I have also been experiencing a lot more of this with the new vehicle changes. Vehicles in 1.19 in general are much worse than previous patches, they handle way worse but they are also much more desync ish and laggy. Like Designful said, it happens very often when you are just driving in a straight line that the car will suddenly and harshly teleport to the left or right

I would like to say, I have been playing a lot more DayZ recently and I previously said that I don't get the ADS bug too often on a server with good performance / ping....yea....I was wrong. The ADS bug happens pretty much every time you try to crouch and ADS at the same time, the weapon will glitch out and not raise, and even cause your character to become frozen in place if you try to move away. It got me killed 3 times yesterday. In DayZ when you crouch, your recoil and sway become massively reduced, so I have it pretty much engraved in my muscle memory to crouch before shooting every time, which is pretty much not possible to do anymore because of this bug and its honestly causing my PVP encounters to be really terrible....pretty game breaking atm

I have saw many many reports of the ADS bug being worse than ever this patch. From my personal experience it is related heavily to performance / connection / ping on whichever server you are playing. I generally play lightly modded servers from my own region where ping is low and connection is good, the ADS bug for me is very rare. But if I ever play a US server or something very heavily modded, I start to notice it a LOT more. Hopefully its fixed soon, great feedback post btw

Whenever your character is outside you can notice that your temperature goes into the light blue status instead of white? This basically means that you will catch the flu eventually. They made some changes to the immune system within recent patches so it seems like you can catch that specific disease much faster now. That being said, in the second half of the clip, your character is mostly white temps for the majority of the time and you still caught it, which is really strange. My best guess would be that they over did the immune system changes and you can just catch disease way too easily now. But maybe Geez will clarify here soon. I haven't experienced or heard reports of any bugs with the sickness at all personally and I have played a lot in 1.19 so far. I think most likely you are doing something wrong and not realising it. Make sure that your character is always WHITE temperature and dry. Make sure you don't eat with bloody hands, make sure you only bandage with items which are disinfected and make sure you don't drink any water that doesn't come from a water pump. If you do these things properly, you won't get sick from anything

@JerseyD911 Yea there can definitely be some bad admins around, generally more in the highly modded community from my experience. But I know there are plenty of servers out there with very solid admin teams who can really make the playing experience great. My entire time playing DayZ on PC I have encountered 3 cheaters, all 3 of which were caught and banned after I provided evidence to the admins... It's just about finding a good server with a reliable owner and community.

I will say, Livonia is a much more graphically demanding map. Way more details in most places. Biggers towns / cities, wayyy more foliage which all have to be casting shadows etc etc. Especially with 4k ultra settings Livonia is a pretty demanding map to run. The settings which impact performance the most are "shadow detail" "Hardware antialiasing" and "Ambient Occlusion". I would recommend that you turn some of those settings down and you will see a pretty massive increase in FPS
