Suppressors Seem Broken
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hi, I know the suppressors have been a contentious subject in the past and bullet impact and rate of fire has been the answer, but the attached clip I just witnessed on a TRMZ stream is the best example I've seen to date of just how broken they seem to be. The infected are 50-75 meters away, it was 4 shots and they impacted on dirt behind them, yet all the infected in the field are suddenly running right towards his position. I have a really hard time believing this is how suppressors are meant to be working.

I have also seen this in 1.18 with a pistol suppressor. I was at a heli crash and lured a single infected at least 50m from the other infected. When I shot the single infected, the other infected were immediately drawn to my position, when shooting with the pistol suppressor attached to a Mlock-91.

Especially since the lore is they are supposed to have bad eye sight (I assume hearing too...) though more realistically they have super human hearing and can see through objects often!

Hello everyone.
The issue has been resolved for the 1.24 update.

This is cool. I get it from a realism perspective that suppressors really aren't that quiet. They can even be heard at like 400m and beyond.

But for gameplay balance specifically with zombies, I think its good that suppressors won't agro them as easily. Nice change

Its not even the suppressor fault, its the bullet impact that drawn the zombies to that area which i think is stupid.
