Sounds like the server is going idle due to lack of players. Experimental will be low pop right now as the 1.28 version is on stable anyway.

I think the amount of water and gasoline could just use the existing quantmin and quantmax in types.xml.

I play on Xbox and to be honest, I can't say I've encountered this issue personally, but maybe I've not noticed yet. I've played on several deathmatch servers and not noticed any wild discrepancy in bullet placement.

I was alluding to and highlighting the fact dispersion was increased, as stated in the patch notes. This issue may be an unintended side effect of that as you said.

Oh sorry, I assumed you'd be using admin tools/DayZ Editor on the PC version to get that information. Having owned servers in the past myself, I remember waiting for the logging spitting out the coordinates being a pain. I've been out of the loop for a while.
I think you mean cfggameplay.json? The cfgeffectarea.json is used for effects like the contaminated areas, not assets.

I think there needs to be something more done to incentivize players to play experimental. When a new experimental update is announced, I do tend to go report issues when I can, but the servers are almost always empty on console so there is no reliable feedback loop. I think more players would play if scenarios were created to test specific changes, like the arena that was setup to test melee weapons a few updates ago. I get the impression most bugs are found and tested in isolation, rather than in a dynamic gameplay session mimicking a player journey.

Hi @Geez, this happened on the experimental 1825 EU first person Xbox server. I have not tried it on any other servers. I guess being on Xbox I can't provide any diagnostics?

I can confirm that this issue is linked to DayZ Experimental servers too. To workaround this issue, I had to login and logout of the server I was last in on experimental, to have the ability to login to the servers in the regular game.

I was testing this myself earlier today. In my experience, if you max out the sensitivity settings to 100, there is definitely a noticeable difference and the controls are a lot more sensitive. The game controls are very sensitive to begin with. For example, the camera vertical/horizontal at 100 means the camera will rotate quicker than the player model can keep up, so you can see the players shoulders. When they're at 0, you can't see the players shoulders.

According to the files as they are now, this is the correct current behaviour. That wreck and the loot you found is currently setup to potentially spawn any weapon that doesn't have tiers assigned.
This has happened to me. I had to relog into the server to resolve it.

Yeah maybe, I know bottles have always been like that as far as I know. It's usually a sign of having too many dynamic events and not enough deloot to go around lol. Heli crashes spawning bottles is a classic example.
Glass and plastic bottles can effectively spawn anywhere, as they don't have usages, tiers, or categories assigned in the vanilla types file. Sounds like there's too many containers with not enough of the assigned loot to go around, so the economy places whatever is spare where it can.

Hi Geez, this happened to me on the KarmaKrew Xbox community server, which has just been recently opened by @M1NDR and team. This was also reported by some other players on the server. They had to disable the unconscious respawn because it was forcing players to force quit the game. I would get in touch with those guys for more info.

That's interesting, because things like those guns couldn't be spawned in as regular loot previously, if the crafted flag was set to 1. A lot of Discord forums are still advising that server owners do that so that stuff like tripwires can be spawned in without actually crafting them in game. Maybe something changed? How long have you had crafted=1 for those items?

The firewood would only spawn if the crafted value was set to 0. With it being 1 it won't.

I like this idea. It would also be great if you could select character presets from a dialog when entering the server. I'm sure RP and PVP server owners would find it useful.

OK that's fine. I doubt that types.xml is causing an issue, unless there is an error and it's not been validated. An easy way to check would be to upload a types file with just the water bottle entry included:
How are you wiping the server?
The items are spawning, those log entries just shows the loot economy doing it's job. Don't read into log files too much. It will make you think there is an issue, when in fact there isn't one.
The changes you make won't be instantaneous. You need to wait at least a few hours before you will see the changes, unless you wipe your server
Try removing tiers 3 and 4 and set both idle mode countdown and idle mode startup to 0
You're not trying this on 1.22 stable version of the game are you? If so they won't spawn at all as they haven't been added yet.

@Geez feel free to close this ticket. The mic threshold was at the lowest setting and after increasing, the mic icon disappeared.
That's strange, It doesn't happen to me on stable and I'm sure the activation threshold is the same. I'll have to double check.

This has also been a bug bear of mine and many other server owners for a few years too. There is too much ambiguity in the community about some of the definitions on several discord and Facebook groups.

Sounds like a case of you got sniped from a distance, therefore the bullet hit you and killed you before the gunshot was audible. Could have also been a suppressed shot. There's no hackers on Xbox like there is on PC by the way.

@Geez can this ticket please be re-opened? I have suffered with this issue since 1.21 was introduced. I can connect to servers eventually, but only it seems after multiple connection attempts and removing and adding the servers to my favourites. It's rather frustrating.

An update on this, it appears a workaround is unfavoriting any favorited servers, which then allows them to be joined from the official tab on the server browser, rather than from favorites. Favoriting them again seems to fix the issue and they can be accessed from the favorites tab again. Appears to be some unintended behaviour with the server browser.

To clarify, only official servers seem to be unreachable, community servers can be connected to as normal.

Sword is two hits to kill. The plate carrier doesn't protect against melee damage I believe. Just ballistic damage. Pioneer sounds a bit dodgy though.

Make the nominal what you like, but ensure it's higher than the min value. Having more locations closer together will let you observe the restock working. I believe the airstrike event with the test explosion as the child, uses the restock method to stagger the explosions.

It's like having a piece of loot set to 1 nominal and 1 min in types.xml, and expecting the restock value to kick in there.
Josie is the owner of the GCode discord. Have you tried adding a second coordinate, say 200m away? So the event switches between locations?
