After loading an improvised bolt from the ground, into the crossbow via combine (B), the crossbow became unusable. The bolt appeared to be loaded, however the animation was bugged when attempting to fire. It took several attempts of dropping the crossbow and equipping it to the shoulder slot for it to become functional again. The crossbow was not loaded when equipped to the players hands again.
