Extinguishing fire animation continues for a long time

Description

I extinguished a fire with a cooking pot containing water, but the steam animation/action never finished and the sound of the fire continued for several minutes until I eventually left the area. This seems an unreasonably long time for the action to continue. I have attached a clip demonstrating this issue.
