Also applies to bears by the way. I have lost count of all the times I have been driving along and a bear comes charging out of the woods and knocks me out in the car. Should only be possible if you have no door or a broken window. :)

Any news on this issue? I know from statements from Adam that there is work going on with some physics related issues, would this be included? Thrown object really should have sound effects on impact. (Using the drop item sound effect would work as placeholder.)

Hello, I see that this is marked as resolved already 2019-12-17 but the issue is still happening as much as always.

This is still happening by the way. Appears to be desync related, I have had it happen on official servers as well as modded, what vehicle it is does not seem to matter.

Bumping this old suggestion. Really - it would fit well with DayZ's overall design to need to first fell the tree and then cut it up into logs or firewood. Also, if the felled tree model was removed until regenerated, wouldn't that perhaps improve performance? At least it would be a more believable and immersive state since carrying away logs while still seing the felled tree feels...odd.

they are both AW cheater

i lost 3 m4, 3 ak, and 6 pairs of NVG and an 8 lock base to hackers in two seperate incidents. Bout 3 months, down the drain in 30 minutes from hackers. I'm still playing for some reason XD but man this game is fucked with hackers right now.

They are both “AW” cheat, This is their hidden cheat web 118.31.164.93, At present, they now have 268 “AW cheat” dayz users, it have not been detected for 5 months because they are hidden IPs, they even have a competition reward, every time 10 people killed on the official server will get 2 dollars reward, the official server is currently being destroyed by this cheat, which are completely used by internal users, I am a dayz player from China, I have been play this game for seven years and have never used any cheat, this time I have completely unbearable, limited stamina destroyed my patience, and AW cheaters destroyed the official server, with limited stamina we lost a lot of time running on the map, limited stamina and cheaters completely destroyed my patience. Please crack this AW cheat, then remove the stupid stupid limited stamina to safe our time

By the way this happened 3 times in quick succession, probably the same cheater and all on the same server AP SY Liviona 5570, check the logs, the person obviously using ESP and whatever else to find me considering the server traffic at the time was extremely low. Thankyou.

I also agree with this. Just because DayZ hadn't updated doesn't mean mods aren't updating.

I don't want to be a nag, but please can this get bundled into a hotfix and not held off until 1.11. Players don't understand this and are turning the blame towards owners. Unfounded sure, but a hotfix will get everyone happy again, especially with the current player numbers.

@Geez I suggest you guys look into the scripts surrounding the "remove if damaged" variable. I am starting to suspect that this function can get false positives and delete a vehicle that is actually not ruined. On mine and a couple of associated servers we had problems with the M3S truck disappearing without trace, after we put "remove if damaged" to "0" it has stopped happening. It means crashed vehicles will stay on the server though, so players are encouraged to drive carefully.

A kill cam will defaintly be welcome, in this game. I have died alot of times, that I wonder was even legit. I don't mind if a player gets a good kill on me and gets my lot as a reward, but it has to be earned, not cheated

I agree, this can be a very frustrating bug. Today a player on my server died and begged me to put his stuff in a stash since body lifetimes can't be trusted. I was there within ten minutes and it had been cleared already. Sometimes the bodies stay for the intended lifetime, sometimes not - and I have not been able to find a pattern to it. It is an issue that needs to be addressed.

6.5 hours later, Got back to where my body was and it was gone. The rapid firing off in the distance is still going on... maybe ill just leave this server.

This was to show server info. I assume it was the hacker not a glitch because off of the firing. I did just randomly die while standing still in a enclosed area. Don't believe there was any line of site to outside.

@Geez You can close this issue, I just tried with a fresh player db and can nolonger reproduce the problem.

Welcome to the wonderful world of DayZ, as a long time gamer I can say, sadly no. When you die, even if it's by a cheater, the only why is to run to your last know location and prey it's mot despawned. If it's of any concelation, the same just happended to me, on a Netherlands server just now. The cheater problem seems to be back, when I look into my Steam's "Recently played with players" section, I see ones with Chinese and russian names with VAC bans, some of them are recent bans. The only counter measure in place, is that a ban wave will hit and until then, these scumbags run rampent. Top knoch work there BI...

Same thing happended to me just now, iheard two shots some long distant away 3 sec. later im dead. Luckily I spawn not far away, I run back to my dead body and see that nothing is taken. Headgear is ruin and some other stuff, it wasnt a granade, that i know. This game is seriously need to get it's shit together, if they want to keep their fan base
