This got changed after 3 years. You can't hide behind "it was always there" Dwarden. And Geez can't hide behind "It's a steam feature". The reason this ticket was created was because it got changed with 1.13.

Sadly this does not work, did the pulsating get added to the shader of the vignette? Here is my override from the dayzplayercamerabase (I did a full override without calling super etc for demonstration purposes.)

@Geez

  1. Build a complete wooden gate (wood top and bottom)
  2. place barbed wire in the arrow down aka ground slot. I dragged it in that slot specifically. Did not use the attach function.
  3. Walk in front, outside where the barbed wire would be.
  4. Get bleeds

@PR9INICHEK no it's not solved. It's when you just drag it in the gate inventory (not use the pliers to attach) and open and close the gate. That will spawn the damage zone which it should not.

@rVn You can close this. Turns out a new flag: allowOwnedCargoManipulation=1; was added to containers, I didnt have that flag on mine. Adding it fixed it.

New information: After 1 restart or crash the combination lock still works. If you take it off and put it back on after that it will work fine the next restart/crash. 2 restarts and/or crashes without your lock being taken off in between and your lock is broken/code scrambled.
