Hunt Showdown uses a pretty simple system for this, where doors are quieter if they are interacted with while crouching.

Sounds very similar to an issue I reported here https://feedback.bistudio.com/T171154 seems likely that this was what happened.

At that point I'd rather the mechanic be removed entirely.

To be honest I hate this feature for all the reasons you listed, but what confuses me even more is that the implementation of it doesn't even line up with their reasoning, they say that it was added because it's unrealistic to focus on something while sprinting that fast, yet it also applies when I'm crouch sprinting at the speed of a snail.

Issue is resolved in 1.21 as you can see here https://feedback.bistudio.com/T169869

I believe it is toggleable with server settings which is nice, but it's a shame that this will affect the vanilla game.
Just revert the change completely, an unnecessary change that was only made for the sake of realism and it just frustrates the player, pointless.

Hmm I don't think so, the models are static and show bullets even when empty.

This happens if the player exits the vehicle when it's set to Drive.

I don't think it's fair to judge the inertia while it's still so buggy, if the inertia was only applied to sprinting like it's intended to, and our characters didn't get stuck inside every random object, the movement would feel much better. I think in that case the inertia would be a positive change for the game.

Hey @Geez
I believe this is actually a completely different issue from the one Permyack described, even though very similar in nature.
Hello @Geez
This issue also applies when you collapse a piece of clothing via the X button in the inventory.

Isn't this because the shell/cartridge gets stuck when ejecting? you can see it fly away after the unjam animation. Maybe someone more gun savvy can clarify.

Hey, I tested on official server and you are correct that the town is in fog, I was not aware that the community server had increased view distance.
And I definitely am crouched in the first video, not standing - I tested that again as well and the sway when standing was much more extreme than what is shown in video #1.

Agree 100%, was surprised to see this wasn't an option. I often do this on accident when clearing buildings as you quickly raise your weapon when checking a corner, and then immediately lower it when you see no one is there, which happens so fast that you unintentionally right click and get stuck in ADS, would go a long way to reduce the clunkiness of the game.
