Good, that means the game is working as intended. DayZ is a permadeath game by design.

If you want an easier time re-gearing after death then that's what bases/stashes are for. If someone killed you at your shelter then it's probably time to relocate or build a different one elsewhere.

You're not supposed to have an endless loop of dying and returning to your body for a quick re-gear, if that was the case then where are the stakes? who cares about death anymore?

Losing your gear may be a tough pill to swallow but it makes the game what it is. Learn from your mistakes, start a new life and go again.

If you can't do that then perhaps vanilla DayZ isn't for you, or consider buying the game on PC to play a modded server that makes the game easier.

No one killed me if you can read you would see that and was not always a perm death if game changed could have said that instead sounding like your butthurt cause I made a curious statement didn't know if that was pose to happen on official server or period smart guy

I'm not butthurt lol, I'm simply explaining to you how DayZ is played and works.

You submitted a bug report because you can't reclaim your bodies loot in a permadeath game, which implies to me that you don't quite grasp the concept of DayZ yet, so I'm just letting you know this is something you should get used to.

I mean all you said was that you died twice near your base, and the second time while putting items in your shetler, which is typically when you'd get shot by someone camping it, so I think it's a fair assumption that players were around and could've killed you. That's why I said "If someone killed you at your shelter", that wasn't the case so obviously ignore that comment.

I've read the OP's posts multiple times now and am still no closer to understanding them. It just proves that whoever invented punctuation had very good reason to do so.

I do gather they are playing on PS5 though so are posting in the wrong forum. (edit: now fixed)
