PC 1.19 Stable - Character still gets stuck on objects
Confirmed Internally, NormalPublic

Description

The easiest way I have found to reproduce this is as follows:

  1. Put your characters back up against a wall
  2. Face slightly to the left and hold A / or face slightly to the right and hold D - so that your left/right shoulder is pushing into the wall a bit but you still move along side it.

In my experience this seems to occur more often when holding A and using the characters left shoulder, but it also happens with the right one / holding D.

With that said, this can also happen when walking along side an object using W or S, when either of your shoulders are close to the wall.

During normal gameplay such as looting buildings you will frequently get stuck in place for 1-2 seconds when turning corners/brushing up against objects etc.

Hello @Geez I was wondering if there's an update on this issue? The addition of inertia was good for the game but the side effects it has caused to the usual movement are very unfortunate.. the character getting stuck on buildings, fences, pine trees etc feels really really bad. I hope that this is still being looked into and that a solution can be found.

Hello Jaakael.
We will see what could be done.

Great to hear, thank you for the reply.
