1.26 Inventory Slots Rebalancing
Feedback, NormalPublic

Description

Hey guys.

From what I understood from the dev stream, it sounds like inventory slots from vests/jackets/pants etc will be reduced, while backpack sizes will remain the same.

While I'm not against a reduction of inventory slots in general, I don't like this approach as it only further punishes players going low profile, either by wearing a ghillie suit or simply playing without a backpack. Playing this way already forces you to slim down and heavily consider your options but now it will be even harder.

I feel like the better option would be to reduce inventory sizes of backpacks while leaving clothes the same or at least very similar.

Of course I haven't played 1.26 yet and seen all of the size changes, but it sounds like no backpack gameplay will be extremely rough now, and anyone using a gigantic backpack will still be relatively happy.

It would be a shame if it now felt necessary to always carry a backpack and if ghillie/no backpack gameplay felt unplayable, because I do enjoy that you can currently play the game in other ways like that.

Thanks.

This is a good point, I think. I'm not sure how extreme the planned reductions are, but maybe it's a bit onerus in forcing players down a specific path when outfitting their characters.

i'm very very fine with reducing inventory slots. when u dont want to use a backpack, but a ghillie - well u should be punished with way less inventory space.
and ofc backpacks slots should be reduced too. i dont see the reason to be able to carry a bag full of assault rifles.

This should be like, you would reduce some average common items slots, while keeping some big as now (42).

Make hen rare then - finding good clothing would make you happy then, and would be another shopping list. Not like now.

i.e. hunting jacket 6x5 slots (30)
Some military jackets 6x6 / 6x5, and some (spawn less!) 7x6 (42 like now)
