Have you tried to clear the mods, delete your DayZ documents folder, disable Steam cloud sync, verify the game data and then re-launch the game?
Also please check your OS for any corrupted files or installations by running sfc/scannow.
And ofcourse, do not forget to make sure all your drivers are up to date.

How are you exactly changing the settings? Also deleting DayZ documents folder (while steam cloud sync is disabled) should solve the issue rather than reinstalling the full game.

Start the game, go to Mod Manager and disable all mods. Try joining any official server. If the game won't crash, one of mods may be the problem.

It's definitely not on Sakhal but I've only just returned to the other maps. According to the file it does spawn on the other two maps but in a very low amount

Update:
Anoter case today. Less than 200m (~170), still mosin. The guys had police vest (lowest tier of "plate carriers"). He survived 1st shot, even on such short distance (his backpack was ruined, shot him from the back, maybe it took some of the damage and combined with vest it saved him, not sure).
It is very cool to have protection that can save you from one shot on such short distances, especially for police vest, lowest tier. Now you can imagine what it (7.62x54) does on 700m (pretty much nothing, only short uncon even without reasonable helth loss).
There should be larger sniper caliber that can ignore plate carriers, or add some analog of 9x39 armor pearcing for .308 / 7.62x54. In that case you don't need new sniper rifle (it would be cooler to have one, but if question stands new AP caliber or nothing, AP it is then)

JaX_Stutz have you seen small aug since 1.26? I'm sure it's not on Sakhal and Livonia Bunker does not spawn it anymore. Not sure about Chernarus, haven't played it much since 1.26

switched to PC over it, hope the team addresses this at some point. I think anyone who's played console and pc versions of the game would agree this detracts significantly from the experience. no doubt would make no difference to the bottom line but console players experience would be improved if this was fixed

Region block on my end? I live in the southeast part of the US. I get the error as soon as I start the game up, before I even open up the server browser.

I'm also very interested in this since I'm working on a bus where people are supposed to be able to walk around while it's driving.
I was looking forward to use animPhysDetachSpeed but it seems it just doesn't work on non boaty stuff and LinkToLocalSpaceOf also isn't working like it used to anymore.

Welcome to the game. It's been like this for a while and its probably not going to change :(

This is something that has been negatively affecting the modded community. Players can really lose faith in servers over something like this, especially since it's something that isn't easily explainable to a lot of players. This is something that definitely needs to resolved ASAP.

It's a OneDrive error. It says Cloud File Provider is not running. You must sign in to your OneDrive account and sync your files.
Google "OneDrive Cloud File Provider is not running" for more info.

@Bohemia @Geez As the comment above this has become absurdly unbearable with 1.26 more so since the last patch "Game version: 1.26.159040" this issue has become so much of a issue player retention is really taking a hit people are giving up on even trying to play DayZ this has become a issue for me as a server owner to even log in and perform admin duties on my own server even, We need a resolution priority ASAP.
