Seems like a manifestation of the FOV issue. The FOV is broken in Arma, thus you see incorrect LODs, or objects disappearing at certain viewing angles.

Hello thank you for the videos and information.
Please for next time add the map your talking about, i figured it was Altis.
Secondly your co-ordinates were off by a factor 1000, but i managed to find the tree.
This is what the tree looks like at distance on my screen, i can see the limbs all the way to the top.
maybe its your graphic settings?
Hello thank you for reporting your issue.
have you tried following the steps here: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3:_Unusual_process_exit
or Validating the files though steam?
Thank you for reporting the issue, i was able to confirm the problem on my device.
We will see what we can do.

There are probably hundreds of unlisted clips that feature this issue. It is definitely a well known issue amongst arma 3 pilots
My apologies if the tree names listed above arent the correct ones. I ignorantly copy and pasted the names from a different ticket without knowing if it was indeed the trees in question. I didnt have the knowledge necessary to provide you the exact tree names.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLo1fFbaMiM
This video was taken at X=071 Y=154 and features one of the popular dead trees with popping issues. The first clip shows normal flight through a common route in one of arma 3s most famous game modes, king of the hill.
the second clip shows the tree staying rendered for a longer distance after popping in. before disappearing again
the video was taken in the editor to show it isnt a server side issue. and I could gladly provide my config file with all video settings.
Sure. i will post a video shortly

Tested on retail build 2.06.148470 the issue seems resolved, closing the ticket for now.
Let us know if you still have the issue.
Thank you for reporting the issue.

Thank you for reporting the issue, i could confirm the problem on my machine.

Hello thank you for reporting the issue, could you perhaps give me some coordinates of a area where you experienced trees "popping"?
I've flown over a couple maps but didn't see anything that could confirm the issue
Also need exact repro steps
could try allowFleeing https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/allowFleeing

Further info on this. This seems to be a bug with engine itself. The gunner needs a weapon that has the same targeting/locking capabilities as the pilots weapon otherwise Tab Lock ( R key default) will not work for the player or AI. This issue has been highlighted by the SOGPF phantom but it's not the root cause of the issue. However the gunner does not seem to suffer the same issue as the pilot does. The gunner can have all air to air weapons assigned and pilot all air to ground weapons and Tab Lock will function properly for the pilot, however if this is reversed the pilot can not achieve lock using Tab Lock. Further info/videos and examples can be provided if need be.
Thank you for requesting the feature.
Due to the current phase of Live Ops development in Arma 3, we cannot commit to any new features, though we will try to consider them.

Thank you for the feedback, i was able to confirm the issue.
Unfortunately it's not something we can easily solve at this stage.
Hello sorry it took a while to get back to you.
I was able to repro the issue on my machine, turns out if you select the top option in the ammo menu then Shift+Click it works fine.
It seems to only crash if you Shift+Click with nothing selected.
We will see what we can do to resolve the issue.

Cannot repro the problem. Try to verify files. Also wait for the next dev just to be sure.
The fact that you can create display over dialog is wrong but it breaks backward compatibility if changed. The correct way is for dialog to appear on top of display, and it will be possible with alt syntax https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/createDialog
Should be fixed in 148602
Rev 148602 changes reverted in favour of alternative syntax https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/createDialog. Use createDialog ["MyDialog", true]; to make sure it is visible during briefing
Thank you for the report, this is a known issue, it was decided that it's not worth upgrading it to dynamic loadout. Since it's not supposed to be able to mount any other missiles.
It could be potentially still useful for community but adding new variant is bit of hassle, since it has to be a new class for compatibility reasons.
Hello thank you for reporting the issue.
Could you make a repro mission, that way i can test it on our internal build as well as others if necessary.
Is this base Arma 3 or do you use mods?
We could confirm the issue, thank you for the report.
We will see what we can do to resolve the issue

Apologies! The addon "armor_f_tank" is actually in my P: drive. Windows tells me it was created the same day/time as everything else when I last attempted game data extraction. Why I did not see it then is a mystery to me - just blind I guess.

How has noone ever had this problem?
