Agree. "Combat pace"(C) should cancel Toggle Walk.

@W4RH4WK
in arma 2, sprinting with "turbo" from crouch makes you stand up for the duration of the sprint, but then you'll resume the crouch stance once releasing "turbo".
however, in case you release W before "turbo" your previous crouch stance will be canceled and you end up standing -just like the ticket says.
it's the same problem with the only difference that in arma 3 you can now sprint while keeping low.
happened in arma 2 as well

Reproduced.
Switching weapons while changing stance is problematic.
this was also reported in #1087 under a different Category
reproduced in default branch 0.52.103507.
it happens with both right click and drag&drop in inventory screen.
no freeze if you don't have a rifle, but in that case you will temporarily standup after dropping the pistol.
And pressing "Fire" to raise the weapon back while moving in Combat pace will cause a temporary interruption in the movement of the character.
duplicate of #3884
True.
Also, it happens in walk, combat and run speed, but strangely not during sprint.
(this was already reported in #3994)

EDIT:
revised pics attached(1st was wrong)
Can a moderator delete the old ones, please?
yeah on second thought, I think you're right.
The middle one is the default crouch.
But i tend to see what it's now the high crouch as the standard one, since it's the old legacy crouch from Arma 2 :)
By the way hope the point remains clear

Another action always triggering the prone issue is lowering/raising your weapon ("Raise weapon" and "Toggle raise weapon" in Options > Controls > Weapons).
Pressing one of the two keys while moving in low stand or high stand, causes the player to go prone and stand up automatically. This doesn't happen in middle stand and middle crouch.
On a side note, pressing either "Raise weapon" or "Toggle raise weapon" in low crouch/high crouch (whether moving or staying still) makes the character go up two stances and remain stuck (as reported in #1148).

In ArmA, run (default speed) and sprint are more tiring than combat pace and walk.
this was already reported in #1148 and #893
good find.
reproduced and upvoted.
agree with Emualynk. I think it's a feature.
So I'd suggest to add a new difficulty setting (in Options > Game > Difficulty) to enable/disable the "Leave mission without saving" feature, having the effect to change the Suspend button to a Exit button.
yes, the y-axis position should be resumed just like the x-axis.
Always found this problematic, especially when using freelook in optics mode (eg while prone in order to aim without rotating the entire body).
Confirmed.
Sprinting crouched while moving diagonally (W+A or W+D) always cancel the crouch stance at the end of the sprint.
Doesn't matter what keys you release first (sprint or movement).
The character is reverted from crouch to stand also while sprinting forward (W only) in case you release W before the sprint key (see #5518).

wallside is right.
The Auto report enabled/disabled option appears to be broken.

See also #7120.
The combination of Combat pace and Adjusted stance breaks the X key functionality while moving.
I still have this issue in 0.55.103960.
Can't go from low crouch to low stand or from high crouch to high stand by pressing X while moving in Combat pace (C).
(No mods, Game Files Cache verified via Steam).
Quite annoying regression.
This was not the case in Arma 2, where "Optics" and "Zoom in Toggle" didn't conflict.
the animation glitch also happens without a pistol in the inventory when just switching between movement speeds.

Still reproducible in latest dev build (rev. 10623).
This didn't happen in arma 2.
Upvoted.
The simultaneous WASD + Z/X is useful when using Freelook.

"Alternative stances for binoculars will not be implemented."

Imo, the best would be to make combat pace the default speed and have three controls for walk, run and sprint, all overriding each other when toggled (as i suggested in #3752)
True. And annoying.
Once you toggle walk with W+S, it's not possible to switch directly to tactical pace with C.
"Combat pace" should work the same as "Turbo" and get you out of toggle walk.
I hope this ticket gets noticed.

Still reproducible.
This is the same as #5881.
yes. in map view, the numpad keys seem to be hardcoded to scrolling and there's no easy way to bypass this.
I wholeheartedly agree!
Plus they should add dedicated controls for side-step as well.
I think there should be 5 commands for the new stance system:
Stance adjustment (modifier) / Stance up / Stance down / Stance left / Stance right, all independent of the Move and Strafe keys

that may be so, but basic features like this have been known to be broken since a long time --> https://dev-heaven.net/issues/8244
^right.
They forgot the sprint.
this can be considered part of #446
@Smookie
it seems to happen only in Combat pace.
@MadDogX
please, add this 3rd example:
pressing "Raise weapon" or "Toggle raise weapon" while moving in low stand or high stand

Imho, the silhouette&arrows combo doesn't suit the overall minimalistic/futuristic interface theme very well.
I would like to see something more abstract either similar to wok's attempt or this --> http://oi41.tinypic.com/2wgevpe.jpg [^]
Imo, running and sprinting should cancel lean toggle as well as step-lean.
You're confusing "Stand up" with "Up"
Only the "Up" key behaves as you describe and alternates between standing and kneeling (it's intended to work as a toggle crouch command).
"Stand up" on the other hand is not a toggle key and works only in one direction, always reverting the character to the upper stance.
So you simply need to bind "Stand up".
By the way, the "Stand up" command presents inconsistencies across the various stances because in two occasions (from low crouch and from high crouch) it doesn't revert to the default stand up stance.
As a side note, the "Up" key (toggle crouch) has the same inconsistencies and here's a ticket for that:
