If you want a GUI coder LabVIEW is the best style for that.
You have to remember programming is not that important for this game, content is. Someone can make a mod now to add these features into the game.
Very well needed. There are a lot of blind people of all kinds.
All I can say is when the USA went to the moon, their rovers wheel had to spin not too fast and not too slow for them to keep the rover from digging into the moon dust. This same thing could happen on mars so going down a hill would be a no if true, however going up a hill if the motors can handle the change in work (as in the added Joules from gravity) then it could stay the same speed.
This has been reported over 5 times. Use the search before you post a new issue.
It tries to go back to the point of landing. If your arm moves the lander it will set a chain of commands to make the lander go back to the point of landing.
They are also using a different game engine. Kerbal Space Program uses Unity. Unity has more support then this game engine, since it is used for many games and is updated by everyone that uses it. They would need to re-write the game engine to handle fast computing of physics if it can not handle it.
This should be under Suggestions not Bugs
You should reword this I took it a different way until I finished. From the summary I was thinking you wanted a cheat system to reset the vehicle to a factory quality so broken parts would be repaired. That being said you have a good idea to speed up the game play a tad by not needing to control everything to get what you want.
Are you playing a thermal rover during the day? I get a black screen when that happens. And the landing layover is known from other issues.
Something like this for some of the stats? http://mars.takeonthegame.com/feedback/view.php?id=144
In other issues a mod or admin said they are adding fuel limits soon, also they are adding descent controls mentioned in another issue. Search before posting and just add notes to the issues you find.

I see you are using normal fallow the instructions on this post.
This has been posed more then 1 time before. It is not implemented into the game yet. Before you post use the search.
Sort of it has a list of things you need to do. With that you just need to think about the corresponding equipment for the tasks that need to be done.
I had or still have this problem if I have the save. I will try to make a YouTube video. But in the future for these types of things a YouTube video would be best.
Did you hit select when nothing was selected. That one has been mentioned before and I believe it is fixed in the dev version.
In steam go to LIBRARY->right click Take On Mars ->Properties->BETAS->and select development. then just press close
You don't spell they are - "their". And how is this an issue?
If you restart steam it forces a check. and there is a tab updates. and you can set stuff there.
you need to go to this on steam right click take on mars then properties->betas->development
One problem with this is that the way they have landing is 100% accurate for now. If you go off course you cant do many of the objectives. If that is fixed this would be cool.
What about the large lines and words on mars that isn't real. How did they get there....
Watt hours is not capacity. it is 1 watt * 1 hour and a watt is just joules per second. it is just a conversion.
What typical batteries do you use? lol. None have printing of milliwatt hours. But really milliamp hours is a capacity.
didn't read my sentence before i posted. changed charge to capacity.
There would need to be some type of save if you want to play again where you left off. It should be something like every crash is predetermined by the first mission you play up to about 5 landings out. And other things like that. And you cannot save until the mission is done for all tasked rovers.
In short someone can save just reloading wont change the results.
That would be interesting to view.
You can just play music with any format on any player. then start the game and mute game music audio.
Why would you buy the game if you want to play like you have just described. Buy a different game if you don't want to play a simulation.
Here are the Microsoft Visual C++ redist I have installed. My game works normally. So for you guys running in win 98 try to install these to see if it fixes it. http://tinypic.com/r/245fqlh/5
It could be that you don't have the right Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable installed. That would be the only thing I could think of that would cause this problem.
The launching in Win98 compatibility mode problem.
I don't think this game installed anything, usually games on steam come with a Redist folder located {DRIVE}:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\{GAME}\Redist which contains the files needed for the game to run. This game only comes with DirectX. If you want I can give you a list one Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable I have installed on my computer and you can download them from Microsoft to see if this fixes the problem.
I am glad I don't have that problem. Try remapping the keys.
Never mine thought there was cursor key-sets. You can always use WASD and the arrow keys.

Why don't you just upload the files to the original post. Why are you spamming?
Duplicate on my post http://mars.takeonthegame.com/feedback/view.php?id=49
and it is planned already.

I have had the same problem with multiple locations. I find all of them hard to get to and when I do I get the error you describe. Only way around it is to just move the lander's arm around to new spots on the ground, and if your lander has a arm head rotate that around at different angles.
Just a few duplicate post of this. It would free up the issues for others to read if you would just add notes to issues that already exist.

This is known to everyone, so don't feel like your cheating as of yet.
Also this is a duplicate issue.

There is still a problem with trying to position the rover with the equipment on the side you don't have a camera on. Only way around it for now is pressing "c".
If it is not a bug, it over g-ed on the landing and hit something.
PNG is more optimal for small sizes and webpages. And good news you can use PNG.
Try using afterburner. and use framerate maximum limit.
@FredyC really think about what you just said. With NASA's $700-1000 per Pound to low orbit not to mars. And for Mars with a thinner atmosphere I would think the parachute would be up to 40 pounds. So right there you are looking at $28-40k. That is just the cash.
If you really think about it why would NASA put an emergency parachute to retrieve equipment. Why wouldn't they just land with a parachute? It would only either blow into the lander/rover, or land on top of it.
So in short a parachute is a no brainier to say it wont work.

You can save before you launch the rover. I like how it is a random death because in real life you don't know if your idea will work on a planet so far away that is not equal to earth.
Repeat of this post http://mars.takeonthegame.com/feedback/view.php?id=22
So something like a protractor angle line relative to other known angles. And a rotation rate next to the join like floating text.
I believe this is already planed. I have read it somewhere else. I don't remember if was from an official source.
Try right clicking Take On Mars in the library of steam -> Properties -> LOCAL FILES -> VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE. Or try one of the other betas, I have not tried any of the betas.
Especially since there are Russians, and Germans. They have very long words.
Well that is a local error for you. I haven't had that problem. Though I have had to press any key to get to another press any key screen. The problem could be related to that.
You mean auto save.
This would be good for time delayed hardcore mode as well.
Taking it one step further. Tap into some RSS feed most likely by NASA to get real life weather from mars.
Maybe get funding from people for taking photos that they like (e.g. some rich guy liked the photo of your rock, he has donated $10k to the program). This would prevent some players form going bankrupt.
Confirmed that it is not implemented. http://steamcommunity.com/app/244030/discussions/0/864975026763344012/
You can play as game time and fast forward to noon on mars. You can also press n for night vision and f to go into outside view.
Yes the tutorial videos will have everything you need. Right not you have to reverse engineer all of the intel to find out what you need to do.

Yeah, Commando!

Yeah like in DayZ on ARMA 2 I have been able to do a running jump roll over fences. Or make it so if your charicter is under a certain weight they could do this (e.g. no armor and only a pistol and a few mags). http://youtu.be/lR8bn1KdLTA?t=1m19s
LOL Operation Flashpoint beat them to that, along with Battlefield 3.
yeah having steam as the browser would be very nice.
