Arma 3 Activity

Try uploading the file to a free file sharing service and then link to the file.
Try verifying the integrity of the game cache to see if that fixes the issue.
Cant drag and drop the report :(
Try launching from arma3launcher.exe or click the play button for Arma 3 on Steam.
This is what doesn't work. using either of these results in the launcher not starting and no error message appears. I can, however, start the game without the launcher using the game's executable, but i want to use the launcher for mods.
As the title says. I can still start the game from the game's executable, but the launcher does not start at all.
@ElmutiKelmuti, try verifying the integrity of the game cache to see if that fixes the issue. If not then prepare and attach a troubleshooting report (drag and drop into comment) for the developers to review.
I tried everything, it seems working but I'm not sure. If the crush happened again can I reopen this report?

This is still an issue. Any updates?
This is still an issue. Any updates?
Hello payuu123,
as posted above, you basically have two options:
You can wait for Microsoft to release an updated version or uninstall it (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-problems-removing-updates#1TC=windows-7)
solution ?
What is the way i can fix this ?
Damn. Should have searched first. Sorry for opening another ticket for the same issue:
Please fix also the problem of WEPONS shoting UNDER water
@sprintguy115, try verifying the integrity of the game cache and try joining several different servers to see if that fixes the issue.
I am still kicked from official servers, but somewhat less frequent. about 1 out of 6 tries official servers work, but the other 5 times I am kicked. Here is a .Rpt from a session where i was kicked from an official server.

Any news regarding this? Screenshot attached showing a stock EMPTY Arma 3 that's been up for a about a day and a half eating more CPU than a Rust server with 30+ players.
Ha! What a silly error! It works now, Thank you!
@Nikita1409, according to the arma3.rpt files in the report that you have attached you are using conflicting and duplicate launch parameters. I would suggest resetting the launch parameters to their default state and trying again.
It's been 3 months since my last post in this thread and I still don't have a solution for this. Where can I download a very old version of Publisher?
@Jawsh: It affects only some users, not all of them. This issue appeared only after the mentioned patch was released by Microsoft and it can be fixed by uninstalling the patch. But above that we've never been able to determine the exact cause, not even to replicate the issue on any of our machines.
@BISWizard, if it is of any help I have update KB3078601 installed and I am not experiencing any issues with the Arma 3 launcher.
Hello,
as far as we know this issue is caused by the Windows security update KB3078601. You can wait for Microsoft to release an updated version or uninstall it (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-problems-removing-updates#1TC=windows-7)
@payuu123, a few things:
Not at all. Those are not real folders, but a directory junction - kind of a virtual folder that shares content with another folder. So the files you see in there are not the copy but literally the same file as in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\107410.

I have a new crush report, but I don't know how to upload it. It is a Zip. pack about 3.5 MB.
It happened again, in the middle of game it just crushed. I happened very often. It was all good for a while, and the fps started to drop and the game crashed.
I've tried all of the solutions on the community wiki page, as well as various fixes around the internet.
@Less_Grossman, a few things:
Everything happens as before to VR= \> 3200. Time in which I have received - Process page file used 3427 pleases. This time has made 3:40 hours of a game.
The option when Process page file used doesn't exceed = ~ 3200 is possible, and my game will make more time than 4 hours?
But this result, much better than was earlier , 30-40 minutes.

Hi BISWizard,
thank you for the reply. Also an interesting aspect is that all folders contain the files of the most recent update, even if the folder name is refering to an far older version.
I cant upload zip file with log
This is still a problem with latest version. Is this being investigated AT ALL?!?!?
I just add link to post that lex already know (answered it)
https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/143930-general-discussion-dev-branch/?p=3118026
thank you for the feedback.
What about official servers, did you try perhaps Zeus missions on official servers?
Issue is still in progress so no fix available yet.
So the issue should be fixed in the next Development branch update and later on in Main/Stable branch update.
There are options of UAV group of recalculation?
Are you sure? There are no crash dump files (arma3.bidmp and arma3.mdmp) in the report that you have uploaded.
I don't know what is the bug, the game just crushed. It generated a report I attached in the case.
Hello ookexoo,
thank you for bringing this to our attention. The intended behavior is indeed that the directory link (the "folder" in the !Workshop folder) should be renamed when the name of the mod changes. We'll investigate why this is not happening and fix the issue.
It also appears to be resolved in version 1.66.139279 RC1 (11-11-2016).
It kicks me, not crashes the game. I am sorry for the misleading title!
Update, changed the memory allocator to system, and fixed the crashes. It's all good now.

The model shown in the video is u_house_big_01_v1_f.p3d, and the same issue also exists with u_shop_01_v1_f.p3d. Both of these models are missing openings for the windows in their geometry LOD.
