The light source from campfires/fireplaces appears to float about 1 and a half meters above the flames. As a result, it looks unrealistic and the actual fire appears dimmer than normal. I noticed this started happening after the apex release. See picture in additional info.

- Open the editor
- Set the time to night.
- Place a burning campfire or fireplace right next to a building or other tall object (so you can see where the light source is)
- Preview the mission
- Observe the fireplace/campfire.
This only seems to happen with campfires and fireplaces. If a fire is placed with the "fire" effect module, the issue is not there. The issue is particularly annoying because one of my biggest missions heavily relies on campfires that you can turn off and on, and the fact that they aren't working properly is a big issue.
I turned off all my mods to make sure it wasn't a mod causing it, but the issue persisted in vanilla ArmA 3. I even had a friend test it on his game, he has the same issue.
