Many of the devs absolutely love the game, though thy don't all have to share the same opinion.

Different devs have different opinions, the devs make Arma as a game they would enjoy playing. Everybody has those moments when you say things, mabey the code wasn't working right, mabey they had trouble squashing a bug. People generally say things in the moment rather than what would be normally said.
Yes but the devs have other priorities that they are working on.
Arma is never set in stone when it is released, they support th game for years after with free new content and engine upgrades and such. They will be open to adjusting the flight model after the game is released just as much as if we get the new flight model now.
I would prefer they release the aircraft when they are good and ready.
It takes time to code things and as you see on the tracker here, they have much to do.
I am thinking in terms of how Arma always was and relevant things from the devs.
I find it fine that one side may have the better vehicles and weapons. If your on a server with people staking on Blufor, it's probably not a server you should be playing on if you want teamwork. Playing the weaker side means its more challenging but more rewarding when you win. Arma has never had factions balanced between each other and I would never like to see such a thing happen.
Anyone who says any vehicles in Arma are not based on real life are lying to themselves. Even Opfors attack heli is based off of two separate helicopters combined into one. The names of vehicles ingame are only changed to prevent lawsuits from the companies which make these weapons and vehicles. The devs and the community still know them by there real life equivalents, the names are not changed for any reason other than legal reasons.
Why fix this bad system when twistking made a ticket fr a better system.
Simple glitch to fix though it old call the tickets an "adjustment" rather than a feature request if you want it fixed.
Acually they do, they are just incredibly busy right but they do delete duplicates of tickets.
The posts say it will be implement down the line with TOH flight model I think, if I read it right!
If you don't mind me asking, why did you delete your first version of this post you made just before this one?
Again, with this new account you appear to have, I have the water crashes and interaction part covered. http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8468
Why did you erase this ticket and then make e same one again on a different account here?: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=11756
Curious to why you have multiple accounts and why it matter so much that you had to repost it on another account?
My ticket cover helicopter interactions with water: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8468
Yea, noticed this a while back too.
I would want to toss chem lights and smoke while parachuting or as a marker for my team while falling.
What if I want to kill myself? Another problem would be dropping smoke grenades or chem lights would be disabled too which are useful. It would end up like them disabling throwing anything like diving which is stupid.
Should be able to throw these items as nothing stops you from in real life.
The slope of were you land and its direction should play a role in the damage received. Like terrain acts as a landing ramp and you receive no damage. Or you land on an upwards facing hill and take more damage.
This is fixed in the latest dev build.
@battlegum Bug fixing, not balancing as Arma is never balanced other than balancing the AI.
The devs are making this as we speak.
This is already something that us happening but it not finished yet.
The devs are hiring a person who will work on balanceing the AI and in that sense making them better. He/She would only be working on AI balance. This is what BIS said after my thread inquiring about the job position sparked huge outrage from various community members.
This is not a "balance" feature but is instead a "feature request".
If it is realistic then do not use terminology saying balance is needed but say feature request.
What? I was say the Kajiman is the child of two aircraft which do not have this feature in real life as far as i know, adding this artifically is not what happens in Arma.
It will not be added for the sake of balance.
Well, the green faction is the island's army. They do not have the same resources as NATO and CSAT. The green faction is a very small and possibly the resistance because you know CSAT took their island over. The devs said the green faction is based on the Armed Forces of Malta: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armed_Forces_of_Malta
Quote from the dev called "Moricky":
more sensible imo than a 25 mile island having an advanced military.
Actually, this is the first time in our games when the island is so large it can justify presence of its own defense forces. When designing AAF, we were partly inspired by Armed Forces of Malta, because Malta is island of the similar size and location.
Don't expect AAF to have arsenal of the same size as NATO or CSAT though. It's basically limited to four companies and tiny air wing; for example losing a helicopter will mean your original air force strength is reduced by 10%
What arsenal the green faction has.
All you questions on what the green faction will have are now gone!
Remeber that the Green faction or "AAF" Altian Armed Forces are more of the resistance because they were overrun in the campaign. Vehicles they have access to would reflect this especially since I expect that guerilla warfare would be one of the tactics they use.
Also, keep in mind not every faction has the same vehicle types. For instance opfor has to equivalent of the AH9 or MH9. They should just give the green faction one because the other have one.
I would expect Arma not to use a c-130 but rather something like a C-17.
A feature that aircraft use in real life and a desperately needed feature for people who enjoy aircraft, and for those new player who get stuck on small objects which shouldn't get you stuck.
Please provide some links to real life documentation and videos of this feature to show BIS it's realistic!
No, they should take there time so it can be the best possible job with a realistic flight model.
Regarding this ticket here: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8468 The helicopter should roll over first before you can eject.

Handling makes sense because it is tracked though.
There is no artificial balance in this game, research the real life version and then report back if top sppeed does not match real life version.
Glitch n the game, this wld be problematic for tournaments and LAN parties.
Actually its too small.
This does need to be fixed.
I can be someone made a 250000km map for the heck of it, so it is possible.
It can be just as detailed, just with a map that size the problem is taking the time to detail all of it.
Already suggested.
Seems like a bug.
I don't dive but I hold my breath and operate a underwater camera which is like a complicated digital camera underwater.
Usually while following sea life or swimming around, over and under large rocks and rocky areas. I would think a Militery diver could at least do it the same as me if no better.
Remove the bullet in the chamber accounting as that already has a ticket.
I ment photos for corrects colors as well because colors at certain depths may be different from different oceans and it should be made realistic like the ocean around agios efatratios in real life.
Yea, depending on time and conditions, weather and many other variables can affect water too.
People who have dived in the area have said it it pretty close and of you want BIS to do something about it, you must provide valid information showing that this is needed like diving photos from the area and stuff like that.
You also have to consider even though it's not something I want to have to myself, but the ingame islands are slightly smaller than in real life, which means small adjustments might have to be made though I would prefer realism over artificially chnaged weapons.
Misspelled chemlight but other than that I like it!
I do not see what the problem is here, nothing stops you in real life from releasing items while falling.
If it is realistic and is acually used in real life yes, please provide info to show this.
I would prefer and many others would if all the helicopters remained as close to the speed of there real life equivalents.
@exxDUDExx please leave the water interaction portions to my ticket, that's why I made it! :)
Not sure why the tickets aren't linked with a relationship yet?
You know, the the ch-49 would more suit the ability of similar aircraft were they keep the engines on but hover into the water for swimmers and boats to enter and leave the vehicle. My ticket covers this correctly. Water enters the back of the aircraft and if you were sitting in the back your pants and feet get wet.
The floating is part of my ticket here: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8468
My ticket is water interaction portion of chopper physics.
Also, check out my ticket for water interaction with helicopters as it is the 5th thing you forgot! :)
Better Water Interaction for Helicopters!
http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8468
The post should be about wheels not being deployed because it is automatic and not manual as it should be. Helicopters landing using there wheels has been a request from the community for a long time.
It shouldn't be a chance just anywhere on the house, ammunition type, weather and location should play a role in this feature.
Agreed
As long as a guide is included that would be nice.
This is a duplicate.
Mabey hull damage could reflect how high it floats in the water?
Right now a boat just explodes then sinks or when you shoot the inflatable part of the boat, the crew is killed.
Ice bergs? In the mediterranean sea? It's way too warm and no place for the ice bergs to come from.
:) lol
I think this would be better than the current burning wreckage model created when boats are damaged.
Why hasn't is been suggested already? I would think this would important for getting better damage models and system for Arma 3.
Anyone else want this feature?
Why are you trying to remove the flares? Just curious about why, mabey some epic cutscene?
Closed as a duplicate/better written ticket for the issue exists.
Can do so in real life, so I vote up.
Pack stanag ammo in your pack, then after your done shooting under water, load the stanag into your gun. Though it does seem odd that it does not hurt very much to be shot with.
My ticket deals with helicopter and water interaction, which includes lethal and non lethal crashing.
Copy of my ticket: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8468
Smoking whether right or wrong would be something likely discouraged because of the affects on a soldiers body. That is why I doubt in the future modern militaries would allow smoking.
:( on vacation and didn't get to see it! Easter egg that glitched into the main game mabey?
A lazer does not decrease recoil in real life... And neither do sights...
This would help to "liven the up" in a sense since it seems to be pretty dead in the wildlife aspect currently.
The name is different.
But this does not relate to this issue in the game, the issue is for white caps which any large body of water would have.
This is something that is really needed to make it feel like your on an island and not some artificially smooth water inside some extremely large man-made structure.
Lemnos is in the game, it is called Altis but is shaped and modelled as Lemnos.
This is a big thing missing from the ocean right now, and makes it look bad to look out towards the ocean.
Waves are still missing the "white caps" / the small areas of white water created ontop of large waves in the ocean which last for about a secound or two.
Just thought I'd share this so it's used as intended.
