Ocean missing "white caps"
Reviewed, WishlistPublic

Description

The real island of Lemnos has white capped waves on various sides of the island from time to time, arma 3 does not have these for stratis and likely Altis.

When looking out toward the ocean in Arma with waves set to max height, the ocean looks completely calm. I would like to see the little "white caps" appear for a second or two and disappear like they do in real life. {F20627} {F20628}

The images below were taken off of the stratis and Altis/Lemnos coast in real life, one farther out while the other has the island with in sight. Both have white capped waves.

Waves are still missing the "white caps" / the small areas of white water created ontop of large waves in the ocean which last for about a secound or two.

This is a big thing missing from the ocean right now, and makes it look bad to look out towards the ocean.

Yeah it is a bit odd off in the distance, everything is so calm and serene.

oh yes! good idea

altering wave strength could bring out more froth, helping game immersion since we'll never get actual crashing waves :/

This is something that is really needed to make it feel like your on an island and not some artificially smooth water inside some extremely large man-made structure.

Good thing Lemnos isn't in the game then.

Lemnos is in the game, it is called Altis but is shaped and modelled as Lemnos.

"is shaped and modelled as Lemnos.". Yes, but it ISN'T Lemnos. It's Altis.

The name is different.

But this does not relate to this issue in the game, the issue is for white caps which any large body of water would have.

This would visually add a lot to the game!
