When do the markers fail to appear? When you preview the mission in the editor?
Could you also please attach the affected mission so others can try to reproduce?
As MadDog says, the biggest issue is the unfortunate lack of moderators at the moment. Perhaps BIS should seek volunteers from the community, if only to hunt down and close the insane amount of duplicates present.
Until that happens, we all can help by reporting the duplicates ourselves by adding a note with a link to the earlier ticket. For example:
Duplicate of #<issue number>
I also can't help but point out that the irony of this ticket is not lost on me.
Duplicate of #4955.
I've worked out why this is happening. Or rather when. It happens the first time you try to vote for an issue. Doesn't matter if you vote up or down, as long as you're the first person to do it. Any subsequent votes (even yours) go through fine.
It seems to have moved on to bugging me, it happened three times today.
Is this still happening?
I can reproduce but <b>only</b> in the development branch, namely <b>0.51.103185</b>. The issue is not present in 0.5.102571 stable.
I tried editing my profile manually but those settings were overwritten upon restarting the game as well.
Duplicate of #999.
A more active ticket dealing with the same issue is #5241. I'll close this one.
Thanks for putting this together, great video. This is indeed a major issue, looking back at playing Arma 2 it is obvious this problem is present there as well.
I've tested this in 111758 and the issue persists. 9mm fired at point blank now just about barely penetrates, a result I would expect from a much thicker metal sheet.
Related to #103
I've removed the suggestion about breaching from this ticket since that is a duplicate of #3914, please use that to discuss breaching. This ticket should be about door locking only. Thank you!
It is called Alpha LITE. The comparison between different editions can be found here: http://www.arma3.com/buy
The game isn't free-to-play and BIS had to come up with some restriction for LITE to encourage people to actually buy the game. How many people do you think would do that if they could play multiplayer just fine?
If you look closely they actually become visible once they traveled far enough to the side. There seems to be some overzealous occluding going on.
This is approximately the billionth report of this, the canonical one being #2236. Please search first before logging an issue.
Of course it won't look right, you need to set the resolution to 5040x1050. Is the issue that this resolution isn't available?
To elaborate, happens after starting the game, prior to getting into the main menu.
Please provide the necessary crash files. Where to get them can be found here: http://feedback.arma3.com/how-to-user.html.html
Duplicate of #535
Duplicate of #140.

What method are you using to resurface? Swimming up or the dedicated key? I find the former to be very unreliable as well.
EDIT: If so, duplicate of #285
If you need to shoot in close quarters use a red dot sight, not a 4x scope.
The scopes of assault rifles are permanently adjusted for elevation of 300m. For anything further, you have to aim above your target. For anything closer, you have to aim below the target.
Could you please specify what guns it isn't working for?
Duplicate of #618. Closing this ticket.
Please point me to the part of the EULA that prohibits me from creating text files.
I would imagine cracking a Steam game involves a bit more than creating a text file.
I can only be logged into Steam in one place at a time. Unless I connect multiple monitors and input devices to my computer no one but me will be able to play the game, even if I start multiple instances of it.
epoch is the poor sod I have to annoy every 5 minutes when I need to test something in MP.
I'm going to go on a limb here and guess you haven't actually made any MP scripts yourself. The issue isn't the lack of people willing to test a script, the issue is the lack of people willing to test the same exact script every 5 minutes to provide the necessary feedback during *development* of the script. And even if there were, there are logistical issues involved as well. I have to redistribute the script every time I make any changes to everyone. I currently do use a second computer with the game running in offline and everything synching via Dropbox but even so it's a major hassle that I could live without.
I don't think you quite realize how testing works xzen. There is a difference between asking someone to come and help you test something for 15 minutes and asking him to sit with you on Teamspeak/Skype the whole day just so you can test something every now and then.
Sound of non-existent cartridges hitting the ground has been reported here: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=535
One reason why a person's body might disappear that would actually be caused by the engine is if he disconnects.
If and when bodies disappear is down to the mission author, not actually governed by the game itself.
Water is bullet proof: http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/mythbusters-database/water-bulletproof.htm
Just by the way, even if it were true, by what logic would it rank as severity major?
This issue is in a dire of having its title and description edited. The reason why it received so many down-votes is because its current description is far from accurate.
Your eyes have to adjust to the change in brightness, not a bug.
Upvoted. Creating a simple dialog is also a chore thanks to this.

With the exception of a few helicopters, you cannot eject out of one in reality. You'd either get cut to bits by the rotor or fall to your death since helicopter pilots do not have parachutes.

Sorry, linked the wrong issue.
No idea what this means, could you elaborate please?
A more complete report in #4955. Closing this one.
#2336 is a duplicate but since it's more active I'll close this one instead.
The class name is <i>Land_FuelStation_Shed_F</i>.
Any damage >=0.5 will cause this, the pumps themselves don't need to be destroyed.
Issue #999 is a duplicate but has more votes so I will close this one instead.
Caseless weapons no longer produce the sound in 0.51.103078. However, now neither do weapons that do eject casings, such as the pistols. Therefore I wouldn't consider this issue to be successfully resolved.
1.19.124337, issue is still present.
I am not able to reproduce it in 104268 either, seems like it has been fixed.
Issue seems to have been accidentally set to private, changing.
I can confirm the issue.
The houses in question are:
- Land_i_House_Small_01_V2_F: "House 1 (small inhabited) v1"
- Land_i_House_Small_03_V1_F: "House 3 (small inhabited) v1"
All the windows of both houses are affected by this.
I can no longer reproduce this in 1.05.111758 dev branch.
A more complete report is #423, closing this one.
Duplicate of #182, closing.
Duplicate of: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=140
A more complete ticket is #591, I'll close this one.
Duplicate of #135, closing.
Can we consider this resolved then?
Duplicate of this one?

Confirmed fixed in 0.51.103078.
An option to permanently use free look in vehicles (Options > Game > Vehicle freelook) has been added in the development branch.
You can already do that, use 2xALT or Numeric asterisk to switch to Free look mode.
Is this still an issue in the current build? If so, could you please provide your dxdiag log?
As the game says, you must restart it after changing certain settings. Closed.
OK, I can now reliably and always reproduce this.
I have tracked the issue down to having antialiasing set to 8x. Other antialiasing values do not cause the crash. The only other video options that seem to have any effect are Objects Quality and Terrain Quality.
Since the first 2 crashes I have updated from Catalyst 12.6 to 13.1.
- Set Antialiasing to 8x, Objects Quality and Terrain Quality to Standard
- Load into this mission: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34730455/a3/crash_mission.zip
- Zoom using the right-mouse button
- Display driver crashes
Video of it: http://youtu.be/y2J8EyiroEQ
Resulting RPT, bidmp, Windows events and updated DxDiag: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/34730455/a3/gfx_crash_13.1.zip
Whether I have Fraps loaded or not makes no difference. I've also tried both windowed and fullscreen mode, no difference either.
My video settings as of the last crash:

I don't necessarily have to zoom in either, it's just a sure way of reproducing it immediately.
I use ESDF so I have my own config for both A2 and A3. I don't mind there being a toggle, I just think Stand up is the wrong key for it. If anything, it should be Crouch.
It would actually be great if you could bind anything with the mouse keys. You can currently do combos of any regular keys such as W+S. I re-binded my "Adjust" from Ctrl to Space and I really miss the option of having Space+Right mouse to switch my optics mode.
