If I were to make a suggestion, then exempting headlessClients[] and/or localClient[] from the idle timer would be the most straightforward solution. Alternatively, adding a parameter for it.

UPDATE:
i also cant play any multiplayer. It exits within few min with the same error code 0000005 access violation. I have tried all potential solutions shows here ( https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Unusual_process_exit ) but it didnt help.
I have the same problem, but only in multiplayer. After flying for a while(usually about 10+ minutes) the game crashes with Status stack buffer overrun message. Unmodded game on the public warlord servers.

After all these years, this annoyance is still present in the game. Can anyone from BIS confirm that they're aware of this issue? It makes UGL smoke grenades completely worthless.
This is occurring for me as well, but only when I'm in an aircraft (jets, VTOL, or helis). I've tried deleting my profile, running in 32-bit, and changing the memory allocator. Nothing has fixed it, and I keep on getting a crash with the 0xC0000409 error. Sometimes it will happen after 10 minutes in a jet, sometimes 40.

Hi,
I've attempted verifying game files, though nothing seemed to change. Drivers are all up to date. From what I've seen, others have run into similar issues though none of the solutions that worked for them have worked for me.
I was able to get the "Arma 3 Apex" logo showing upon startup by deleting my Arma 3 folder and adjusting launch settings, however the game is still unresponsive. Crash logs now state "UNABLE_TO_INIT_DXGI"
