The engine is designed that it takes the <b><i>first</i></b> one of a kind in your inventory.

<b><i>First</i></b> means, the upper or more left one in your inventory. For instance, if you've got 2 water bottles, one in your pants and one in your backpack, you automatically take that one in your pants when going via action bar, because in your inventory, the pants are <i>above</i> the backpack.

Don't know if that applies to drag-drop as well, though.

Fixed in version 0.34.115106.

When it still says "stuffed" in your inventory, just drink or eat until you actually get stuffed again (Until it says "My stomach feels stuffed." and similar in the bottem left corner). Then, when you're not stuffed anymore, it will finally disappear.

Same applies to "healing".

The problem is that common DayZ players want to "<i>loot 'n' shoot</i>", so the server owners provide the possibility as far as they can/want. And if the game doesn't provide this, they try to workaround.

So the servers don't restart every 6 hours as usual in the mod, but every 2 or even 1 hour(s), as I've witnessed.

I'm very split in my opinion on this, because on the one hand, it doesn't make lot of a difference if loot respawns frequently or the server restarts in very short periods except for players being annoyed of the restarts.

On the other hand, players don't learn to scavange/survive if starvation is no threat while at the same time the biggest threat is some triggerhappy CoD player in disguise, shooting everyone on sight, simply because he can.

This is a duplicate report and has already been fixed as can be read here:

#2478 (When you kill someone, his corpse will disappear. Can't loot him.)

Also, items from that dead player placed in the vicinity remains even after despawn of the corpse.

It worked for me yesterday, I simply waited a couple of minutes at the "you are dead" screen, logged out, joined another server and there I was.

I wouldn't, it's got to do with the new penalty system which probably cuts across with this issue.

For instance, if you died within, say, 15 minutes after joining and you change server, you might have to wait some seconds before joining in. Since you are dead though, it MIGHT show "you are dead" instead of the penalty timer.

<b>This is pure assumption though, no proof whatsoever!</b>

Don't put vague or general texts into the summary. Keep it straight, but informing, so someone who reads this knows what's the issue.

"<i>FNX Magazin</i>" doesn't say anything except for this is something about the mag.
Take something like "<i>FNX magazine disappeared on reload after shot empty</i>". It's probably not 100% accurate, but it's clear and an actual <i>summary</i> of your issue.

As far as I know, BE does not check your pbos when you launch the game, but the server side BE checks it when you join the server.

as you wrote.

Btw, have you probably set the launch parameters "-name=..." for DayZ in Steam?
Because if so and you have spaces in your name, this will only display the name until the first space and consider the rest as a new launch parameter (which of course cannot be handled).

But still, this would only apply if your name starts with "X ". Otherwise this is very unlikely the cause.

I use versioning format as in DayZ.exe attributes.

I use the format as displayed in the main menu, but your way is valid as well. My point though was that you wrote "<b>144</b>" while it is "<b>114</b>". But it doesn't matter at all in the context. ;-)

Seems working. I tied not deleting the X, and wrote the new username.
Then deleted X. Strange.

Do you mean, you change it in the main menu by writing your name (behind the "X") and then deleting the "X"?
Or did you set your username as launch parameter?

If you want people to follow your description, make it so they can read it quickly and easily:

1.) Drink water until you get stuffed (or more until you vomit).
2.) Notice hunger getting red, "stuffed" remains
3.) After an hour exaclty, "stuffed" is still there

It is not duplicating the item. It's still a bug though since this was not the devs' intention.

You're only supposed to put medical stuff into the kit. That's why a first aid kit is not a protector case.

I would not mind, if it was just possible to put anything in there. But then again, the devs would have to have the intention for the players being able to.

The first information was updated by an important detail. You have to have an <b>ADDITIONAL</b> first aid kit in your hand, which is NOT somewhere in your inventory!

It says "Receiving...", because basically everything in this game is server side. This means when you interact with anything in your inventory or the environment, the client basically tells the server "I want to do this" or "I did this - Result, please" and waits for the server to respond something like "Ok, you may do this" or "You did this, so I give you that". Even when you just want to open a can of food and right click it for that, the client (basically) sends this particular action to the server and waits for an answer.

The problem with this is that when you have a bad internet connection or your client lags for some reason, the request to the server or the response from it may take its time. In those situations, you may encounter situations where a door does not open, or your character is not drinking the soda or you want to open your can, but it just says "Receiving...".

I've encountered a lot situations like this when I tried to play with a UMTS connection. It was pretty much unplayable, because everything took ages to happen.

What I read sounds very strange to me, though I have encountered other rather "uncommon" problem which kind of end up with similar results like yours. Even though I have a 100 MB/s connection right now, I'm having horrible lags when I play with other people since my laptop (issue No. 1) is from 2008 (issue No. 2) and has an AMD CPU and GPU (issue No. 3), so the game is barely playable on lowest graphics settings.

Firstly, the other day, when I was playing with 5 other people, my CPU just couldn't manage it, because it has to render my actions and the actions of those other 5 players. The result was constant heavy desynch and lags of mostly 2+ minutes, which also effected the inventory actions of course. All in all it was simply unplayable.

And secondly, I also tried to play on an australian server while I live in central Europe. The ping was somewhere at 360, which is relatively much, but I did not consider this an issue. But when I played, it didn't take long until the delay of actions was unacceptable, probably because the information could not flow to the server as quickly as it was generated.

Having said that, this still does not explain, why this only happens to your own inventory and not another one which you access. So I'm sorry, if this does not help you very much. But I hope it'll give some input to others, having similar problems like you (and me), so they hopefully can sort some things out.

I agree with combining tablets out of a can, like the vitamins. I'd also like to have the possibility of putting other pills into the vitamin cans, especially because this could open a new aspect of poisoning people. >:)

But it seems a bit unreasonable to combine antibiotics or charcole pills since they are in a blister, which is sort of a "use-once-pack".

On the other hand again, they're packed in a cardon which could hold lose pills (more or less).

But just as I consider it unreasonable to run around with an open can of beans in your backpack, I consider it unreasonable to put lose pills in a badly damaged paper cardon.

Summing it up:
Combining canned pills - agree
Putting blister pills into cans - agree
Combining blister pills - don't agree

I agree. In my eyes, a weapon should actually be something so special, that you rather fear to lose it than to die. Because otherwise, people won't stop killing just for fun.

I kinda disagree, because in my eyes other place are worth visiting already, even though there's not high value loot everywhere. But if you're not playing on a 30/40 player server, you should be able to find food in every town.

I absolutely agree. But in the same thought, I'd like the map to be a bit more loot balanced. I'd like if there was a location with many medicals, a location with a high rate of weapon spawns, another with military stuff (but no weapons here), another with tools (e.g. in factories) and so on, so that wherever you spawn, you'd have to go to various locations throughout the map, to gear up.

I'd like dead corpses (in DayZ!) too, but if they should carry something, whatever it is, this should be rare, because you'd definitely not be the first one crossing that corpse.
