Is there are hardcore character delete server?

Well I can't confirm the login to hardcore method for 100%. I can now play hardcore mode but cant join any regular Server.

Now I am alive on a hardcoreserver and dead on a regular server oO.

But JeTeBaiseTherese Char Delete Server are working.

My solution. Login in a Hard Core server (Didnt check the version)

And it fixed by issue

Just started to experience this issue as well a few minutes ago. My buddy started to experience this as well as I am writing this, talking to him on TeamSpeak. We were both fine yesterday when the patch was first rolled out.

Things I've tried:
• Clicking on respawn multiple times, allowing it to completely respawn.
• Switching between multiple servers, repeating above.

System information:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Overclocked @ 3.8Ghz (2400NB)

MY SOLUTION!!!!!!:
reinstalling the game was the solution.

You refresh your server list and you fliter by player ( minium player ) and you find a "reset serveur " :)
like thise one : 93.190.142.201:2602 GOOD GAME :)

vilayer.com - unable to respawn after dying on the server

fragnet.net - able to respawn after dying on the server

multiplaygameservers.com - able to respawn after dying on the server

multiplaygameservers.com - vilayer.com - testing

character died on multiplaygameserver. immediately exiting the server. joining vilayer.com server. "please wait message" occuring unable to respawn. When pressing ESC camera shows the spot where character died previously.exiting the server. Joining multiplaygameserver again. New character spawned without pressing respawn button. joining vilayer.com server again. Character spawns normally.

im having the problem i know it's the alpha but we can't respawn come on

HOW TO FIX WORKS EVERYTIME:

1. Find a server that will delete your character upon joining, you can look in the server name if it says something like "Server will delete character" Join it and it will fix your problem
2. done

the solution work fine for me ;) . After i respawn on a "Server will delete character" i'm "inconscious " , click on "respawn" and it's ok you can go another server :)

That work on regular server and hardcor server :) .

Today i tried to die and respawn on 10 different server provider.

I use vilayer and i fail to respawn on any vilayer server.

I tried multiplaygameserver that work just fine

Also fragnet server works just fine

The last i tested was UK base provider wich also worked fine.

IT IS MOST LIKELY PROVIDER SIDE

Still present in latest build for some people

Alright, got mine going. I was getting the please wait issue. Then back to you are dead.

I added the word "delete" to my filters and increased max ping to 1000.

I logged into a server that deletes your character. First one didn't work.

I tried a second server that deletes your character and presto. Worked.

Went back to my old Regular servers and no problems to report.

I have the exact same issue as Reverendjs.

Still can't play on Regular.

Hardcore no issues.

I'm getting the same problem as well. I downloaded the update, hoping to play a bit before I had to go into work since I haven't been able to play since I died on Wednesday. The same thing happened again though. After the quick fix that was released today at 12 GMT, I attempted to start playing again as I had previously been a victim of the "you are dead" message after dying. The update says it fixed this problem, so I tried to start playing again. After my first log in, I simply received a "please wait" message. So I waited. After 20 minutes I tried leaving the server and joining again. This time, however, it said I was unconscious. I hit respawn and now I am back to where I started, with the ever-present "you are dead" message. This process repeats every time I restart DayZ.

I am still getting the same problem. I have checked my files with steam once I come out of DayZ. I am still getting the same problem. I think its a hit or miss at the moment with some people.

I just want to say that the bug is now gone with the recent update.

I've tested it for hours and have not run into the problem again.

I have down voted the problem as it's now resolved.

update doesn't fix anything... LOL unless it's the servers not yet updated but they seems to be. Just tried my favorites.

HEY!! 177 MB update this morning: This update was released to Stable as a critical update outside of our scheduled maintenance period. This was because of a serious issue with the connection logic that could trap some players in the "dead" state. There was also a critical bug with looting other players inventory. These have been fixed.

Just happened to me as well. I had been playing on the server for about an hour or so, got killed, and am now unable to spawn. Tried 3 other servers to same results. Respawn button greyed out.

1. you are dead screen
2. exit
3. change servers
4. esc while loading
5. repeat 3

do that a few times, esc at different times but before "you are dead" and within 10 I usually get a game to load. Occasionally close dayZ completely during the process, not sure whether that affects it.

after that, just don't die and you'll be fine :(

I do not understand, I'm new and I can't find the file you say. I did the "addon" file where there are identical file, but I find no start with my nickname or even continuing with "vars.DayZProfile". I'm a steam player.
Plz help me ^^'!

I had this same problem on the
PBR ALLSTARS | Vilayer.com Regular 114926
after dieing in a weird way.
(I either got hacked, or shot through the walls by a glitcher)
I was unable to respawn(even after restarting the game) on that server, but my favorite old server worked.

THIS WORKED FOR ME:

I moved the "xxx.vars.DayZProfile" file to another location because I didnt want to delete it right away. The file is located at "C:\Users\xxx\Documents\DayZ" on Windows 7. "xxx" stands for your username.

It actually worked. I started the game after that and I spawned as if nothing ever happened. It's a workaround at the very least.

Did you tried to delete your "xxx.vars.DayZProfile" file ? It's located in your Documents files in DayZ subdirectory ... at least in Windows 7
Replace xxx with your ingame Nick.

I bought the game yesterday... and never can play !

I'm having this issue as well, and reproducing it goes as follows:

1. Client dies on any server running 0.32.114557 (version as of 1/22/14) and exits the game before clicking respawn.

2. Update client and server to 0.33.114926 (latest version)

3. Client connects to server and is shown the death screen with no option to respawn.

There is nothing I can add that hasn't already been said. However, I'm adamant that this issue needs to be given priority ASAP.

I had the same Problems.

My solution:

• Restart in the server, Message "You are dead"
• loged out and loged in again, same Massage, but no active "restart" Button
• log out and change the server.. it Works
• go back to the other server wait 5 Minutes (-.-)
• play

(this happened three times: in Solnichny, Elektrozavodsk (power plant) and in Dubky)

It worked for me the other day, I simply waited a couple of minutes at the "you are dead" screen, logged out, joined another server and there I was.

I wouldn't doubt it's got to do with the new penalty system which probably cuts across with this issue.

For instance, if you died within, say, 15 minutes after joining and you change server, you might have to wait some seconds before joining in. Since you are dead though, it <i><b>MIGHT instead of the penalty timer</b></i> show "you are dead".

<b>This is pure assumption though, no proof whatsoever!</b>

My friend and I were roaming on a server which went into a restart. When it restarted, we rejoined the server, to be greeted first with a message saying that our characters couldn't be loaded in, and that we had been reset. Admin has been informed. Fresh spawn. Went to another server... Fresh spawn. Another server... You are Dead... Cannot respawn. So, the server restart effectively killed us both? Seriously? WTH?!?

thanks for the tips , but unfortunatly nothing is working for me at this point in time. Tried every single tip given in getting past this issue, but nothing seems to work.

1: login to server where i was online - failed
2: dup glitch to log into server - failed
3: removing config and save file, create new char - failed
4: changing in-game name - failed
5: tried joining HC servers - no result
6: exited steam completely, rebooted, tried again using all of the above points - failed.

I've been trying since yesterday afternoon to log into a game, no luck so far. Must have been trying to log in for a few hours now, no luck.

Hope they patch this ASAP, love to get back into the game :)

Some of my friends had this problem, too. They solved it:

1. Login to a server where you were online and alive before your death

OR

2. Login to a server with a name like "Delete Character", "Character Reset" or such

unable to play a game since the new patch, i died (randomly) and since then i am having this same exact issue.

Tried to remove the config and save file, that has worked once for me (out of 20 tries), tried to first join a HC server, then a regular , nothing.

Game seems broken after this patch

Am able to join into random low pop servers. But when i die in those the same result occurs.

Okay so was able to log into another Hardcore server play for about 10 minutes then go back to my server and the "You are Dead" was fixed.

Same issue, can log into HC servers, but can not join in any other server. I died, then exited the game, then tried to reconnect to the server i was previously on and the you are dead screen is still there. No respawn button. Still the same result over an hour later

There seems to be some servers that still have experimental up. I'm able to connect to those. Obviously different hive. Trying to reproduce it on experimental without success.

Same thing about 2 hours later, "you are dead" with no option to respawn.

Same. Have even tried to revert and re-update, same problem.

Died before the patch
-Reconnect to same server "You are dead."
-Change servers "You are dead."
-Change to hardcore (never played on a HC server before) "You are dead."

I've waited, changed my name, tried 20 different servers, sorted by version and restarted everything. I've spent 3 hours on this according to Steam.

In addition my character from the menu screen is missing, see attachment.

Tried over 15 servers. Changed name. Changed clothes. Nothing worked for me. Tried different versions of the game on the server. Still death.

Confirmed! I wanted to close this game but I tried enter few servers and i was awaken! I mean on fresh spawn but alivie. Try do the same, but in the end - it should be fixed ASAP!

Having the same issue. Just started occurring today after packet.

-Logged on to regular server.
-Shot by another player
-Clicked respawn
-didn't respawn
-exited and connected to same server
-you are dead on screen
-waited 30 minutes and logged into same server
-waited 10 minutes tried random server
-every time, you are dead and respawn button is greyed out

I've tried changing names, closing out of the game and logging back in, changing servers, and checked server I died on to make sure they were running the current version. Nothing has worked, I'm still dead.

I found a way to get in to a server, you need to check the server information, I can't spawn in servers that have just "Dayz" as required version, but one's with "Dayz 114926" next to required version work just fine, so might be a server update thing, where they haven't updated all the servers yet or something. I added some images to illustrate what I mean.

Same here. I got killed and now I cant respawn on any server at all. I only get the same screen as reported. I can't play the game at all right now. Maybe related to the anti-server hop and combat log system? I hope this gets fixed very soon.

I am having this same problem, I died going up a staircase the other day and never respawned. This is the first time I logged in since then, so maybe it has something to do with me being dead before patch.
