Just a suggestion, not much to report about the alpha that hasn't been reported yet.
This idea just crossed my mind and I thought that it was perhaps worth considering. Where to start... Chests are craft-able by acquiring raw materials (wood, sticks, rope, iron plates etc.), they provide better inventory protection when left behind or buried than backpacks and other inventory items. When crafted they contain a certain amount of inventory slots (depending on material quantity and quality). They can be filled with items that aren't necessary at the moment, but might be favorable to be retrieved at a later time (food supplies, ammo, additional medkit). The chest can then be left in a deer stand, small shed, or even better: buried in the ground (with the shovel) and then covered with leaves. When found by another player: lucky you, you found a treasure. When properly hidden: leaving some legacy for your newborn character (when the old one dies). Of course I foresee difficulties in server capacity to store the locations of buried goods and of course if the treasure should be server bound or character bound (when character is in the server, so is the treasure).
Very curious if anyone thinks this is a cool idea too!
Also, was I correct to post a feature suggestion here (maybe there is a separate forum or site to do so?)
